Well at least we're in it together I'm gutted for you though. What did they say in the email? I'd imagine the same as what I got which is just that there are so many applicants? I spoke to Michelle the other day and she said I needed to get some more recent, hands on food and beverage experience. So I'll be applying for a part time job soon lol x

 

Here's what the email said:

We were very pleased with the amount of interest we received from applicants across the country wanting to participate in The Cultural Representative Program. You’re cultural and work experience, along with those of other applicants, made the decision a challenging one and selections were made after much evaluation and deliberation.

Because of the overwhelming response and limited number of opportunities available, we regret to inform you that you have not been selected to attend the face to face interviews at this time.

We would like to wish you all the very best in your future endeavors, and thank you again for your enthusiasm and interest for the Disney International Programs.

can i just say, Restaurant on the south bank very plush plush.

 

I've just read my email! April 1st

 

Are the ones on April 1st at the restaurant on the South Bank used previously for other Disney interviews then? Mine's at Disney HQ in Hammersmith on 27th

 

No idea just says Chez Gerard restaraunt..we could eat there the night before lol.probably trés expensive!

 

yeah. Thats weird i wonder why the seperate locations. I imagine F&B are going to the restaurant and merch to disney Hq. I sense a role play interview.

 

I had an ICP interview there last year, they used a room at the back of the restuarant. During the morning the restaurant was closed so it was just us. As we were returning for interviews we had to pass through the main restaurant area where some were eating. Its convenient near Waterloo station (also walking distance from Embankment). I'm surprised our ones on Friday 27th aren't in the same place. Perhaps the meeting rooms at Disney Headquarters are busy on the 1st April. I doubt they're going to test out your waitering skills simply because of the restaurant location.

 

Hmmm, I had my last f2f at the Disney HQ, was really hoping it would be there again cos I love that building! Oh well, a nice posh restarant,can't be sooo bad! And we don't have to be there at 8.30 like I was expecting!

 

Yeah its at 9.30am as well so Ill certainly be staying overnight, so we best get planning that meal !

Megan Im so sorry to hear you didnt get through! I really thought most people would get through at this stage I wasnt expecting to hear that, but like Holly said maybe just some experience will help and next time you apply in August you'll fly through!!

 

Ah I'm excited!so much planning to do!such a relief to be through..1 more stage to go!ahh!

 

Must be fewer of us on the Friday 27th interviews as our timings are 10:30 for 11:00 start.

yay got through to f2f interview for April 1st at Chez Gerad restaurant wherever that is lol-sounds posh though!
Am well excited got my e-mail whilst i was in uni library had to try and contain myself from shouting out.

seems a lot of people are going april 1st...weird as its midweek but im 27th march...weekend whooop! perfect excuse to go out in london yaaaay! just need to find sumwhere to stay!
