I got my phone interview!!

Awww thank you I got my interview really quick like a couple of days after i applied, i must have just got it in before the first cut off date then. Ohh well i feel better now

Yeah i felt that the interview was really relaxed, it was just when they asked me about the best bit about living in my area, i had a blank hahaha but i just rambled on a bit so hopefully i saved myself

I got my phone interview!!! I'm more excited than ever, Kristen's got me so pumped about this program. She's so great, I was completely at ease talking to her. This is getting very real for me now. I feel like my dreams are coming true

 

YAY WAY TO GO!! kristen is soo awesome, im glad we had someone who was so nice, takes off the edge of this whole process... now we await the f2f's... damn lol

 

does anyone know roundabout how many people from phone interviews get through to face to face? Is it only a small percent? Or half? Or most of???

 

I'm not sure if they have a set number of people that move on or not. I would hope that they allow every applicant that seems appropriate to advance to the f2f where significant cuts would have to be made.

 

I feel like pretty soon I'm going to start to get paranoid that I'll miss the call Got my 3 week notice last week, so the wait just increased in intensity by about 500%! haha

I try to be a patient person, but sometimes that's just very hard to do!

Does Kristen send out another email the week they're planning to call?

No Shanan, there was no notice and I got that same email last week so make sure you don't stray too far away from your phone lol.

 

Just as I read that, I looked over to where our phone is and see that the portable phone is missing...

Now I'm gonna be wondering all day if I'm gonna get a call today, lol

 

I hope everyone gets their call today! So I guess f2f interviews are being planned for mid-October so we'll all have to try to take a day or 2 off work and get together for dinner and what not beforehand. Kristen said I'd be hearing from her in the next 4 weeks... well if the 4 weeks is anything like her 3 weeks it shouldn't be too far off!

 

Congrats Jackie! I think it would be awesome if we all got together before or after the interviews for a little meet and greet! I can't wait for the phone to ring at my house!! eeep!

 

It will ring sooner or later, hopefully sooner. I really want this f2f interview to get here asap, I can just imagine our excited faces at dinner the night before. Its going to be so much fun!

Do you guys know if its Kristen that does the f2f interviews or is someone totally different?

 

I've heard that Kristen does the F2F... but I could be wrong. Also, I got another email before my phone call, saying that I'd be called within the week... I wonder why you didn't get another one?

 

I'm not really sure, I thought I'd get another email prior but I'm happy I didn't b/c I wasn't tempted to rehearse anything. I was caught off-guard to be honest but maybe thats why I wasn't too nervous. I don't think I was able to hide the excitement in my voice though

 

Well I think that's one of the things they really want to hear to be honest! It's all about the excitement!!

 

I'm so excited that people are getting their phone interviews now!

The excitement certainly isn't difficult to work up, once you see that number on the phone! I didn't rehearse anything either. I thought about maybe thinking something up, but then figured it would be best just to sound natural. I hope I did okay. Kristen was so nice.

 

I have one small question, if they call you without sending a email before the call to let you know when it is coming and you end up missing it, do they give you a chance to call them back or do they just cross you off the list? I ask because I work with a film acting teacher and we run the classes like a movie set so that the students know what is expected. Thing is that means all phones need to be off and can only be turned on at break or after class. So I'm afraid I will miss Kristen's call.

I'm over 100% sure that if you miss the call she will leave a message to have you call her back or something. I am lucky that today happens to be my day off work but I'm sure she realizes that people have jobs lol.

 

In the second email I got she said not to worry if you miss the call, because she'll call you back, or you can email (or phone) to set up a better time with her. So no worries.

 

;D thanks guys. Now I know i don't have to panic. I was afraid that was going to have to make sure I didn't miss a phone call over helping out the students, now the students can have my full attention. LOL or at least 75% or it for I know 25% will still think about the phone (at least until I finally get the phone call I am waiting for)
