each application for CRP they are getting more and more applicants,
this year they closed the application early case they got so many, i applied, got the job, but majority of people i know got waitlisted or rejected, and they like me had been be4, some of them for a year, some of them had degrees in hospitality and loads of exp,
my degree is art based and i only have exp in F&B,
its mostly based on your personality, but unforyunatly it also is effected by who u interview with as they look at how you work with others
while at the final interview there are people there seeing how you interact with others and looking at stuff like your presntation and how your dressed, time keeping etc.
at the end of it all your personality will shine through.
i got rejected at the cv stage, and rang up and asked why and they said ok well giveu a shot n let u have a phone int and i was one of only a few who got the job
just remember, always be positive, always smile, and when asked a question, think about your ansers, show that would mature, but also fun.
if youget through to the last stage, always think of a good question to ask at the end of the int to show your actualy interested, and shake hands and say thank you at the end.
hope that helps a little. and sorry that went on solong
    xx

I am also a little shy when first meeting people, and considering there are 40 or so others there with u it can be daunting. I just relaxed (as much as I could!), threw myself into the whole thing, and it paid off. I think if you have relevant experience, passion, enthusiasm, the availability and you have prepared adequately, then you stand a great chance.

Theres a few stages in the whole process and each one requires emphasis on certain skills and characteristics i noticed. . like, past the cv and first application where you need to highlight your experience and skills in areas that they want like somebody said earlier making negative situations into positive ones, great customer service etc. . . but once you pass that you get the phone interview. . obviously the person cant gauge your body language or how you work with others too well here so its all about the answers you give and what they can tell from your voice

then the face to face. . first thing i would recommend is get a good nights sleep! everyone turns up in high spirits and energised ready to show themselves off and give a good impression of how they react with everyone else. . obviously if your pretty tired in such a group of people itll show!

and yeah agreeing with anna (bongalina), its always good to have questions for them as well! you stand out and it makes you sound really interested! i made sure i asked both in the presentation and also the one on one(well one on two really) interview that I was interested in taking on extra responsibility and becoming a trainer or coordinator and what the chances of that are, i genuinely am, but it shows that your not just there for the ride and are quite serious about it

anyway ill stop now im rambling :p. . . hope it helps people out!
