mhairi.....ive never actually tried haggis but it looks minging, the look of it REALLY puts me off :-\ not a massive fan of turnip either! the most scottish thing i eat is square sausage! and i dont even eat that any more since im on a diet! lol

 

I'm not Tessa but I can answer this!

It's a French Canadian Dish. Essentially it's French Fries (or chips), topped with cheese and then covered in gravey.

Can't say I've ever tried it (not a huge fan of gravey) but it would most likely be quite delicious.

Ahhh no, not the NY Fries poutine. That's no proper poutine, you need to try poutine from Chez Ashton, where it supposedly all began. The cheese gets all squeaky and you get a nice tummy ache. OOOhhh I cannot wait to go back to Québec and have some I have attached a photo, hope you can see it.. enjoy!
