    shame the 'yorkshire fish n chip shop' doesnt sell yorkshire fish n chips! oh how il miss the patty!

    Jilly whats wrong with Haggis, neeps and tatties?

    *imagines all the weird looks thats going to get* So in English - Haggis, turnip and potatoes.

    I love Haggis, i just dont think about what its made of :)

    mhairi.....ive never actually tried haggis but it looks minging, the look of it REALLY puts me off :-\ not a massive fan of turnip either! the most scottish thing i eat is square sausage! and i dont even eat that any more since im on a diet! lol

    I'm not Tessa but I can answer this!

    It's a French Canadian Dish. Essentially it's French Fries (or chips), topped with cheese and then covered in gravey.

    Can't say I've ever tried it (not a huge fan of gravey) but it would most likely be quite delicious.

    fries with cheese curds and gravy on top.

    hmmmm maybe i could try make my own with some weight watchers chips, low fat cheese, and i dont think gravy is too bad!

    *points* We have that too... My friend frequently has it in the Mini Rest in college...

    Only here it's called Chips, Cheese and Gravy.

    Just a tad less ceremonial, doncha think? :D:p

    Ahhh no, not the NY Fries poutine. That's no proper poutine, you need to try poutine from Chez Ashton, where it supposedly all began. The cheese gets all squeaky and you get a nice tummy ache. OOOhhh I cannot wait to go back to Québec and have some :) I have attached a photo, hope you can see it.. enjoy!
