I think how it works is that you get 30hrs minimum and then if you work over 40 weekly you get overtime for any extra hours, they don't count it daily.

I can only comment for Merch, but...nope, it's daily. You will be classes as either an 8 hour or a 10 hour cast member. 8 hour meaning you work 5 days and have 2 off...10 hour meaning 4's and 3's. If you are an 8 hour castmember...once you work over your 8 hours (actually 9 because of lunch), you start making over time...so if you work a 10 hour shift (which is actually 11)...you'll have 2 hours of overtime. It's harder to get overtime in a day if you are a 10 hour because you basically work open to close anyways.

You can also make overtime if you work an entire extra day...meaning a 6th or 7th day for the 5 days or a 5th, 6th or 7th day for the 4 days. The entire extra day will be paid in OT hours.

The OT shifts go in order of seniority...meaning if you are a newbie at the bottom, you'll get all the OT shifts...but...all OT shifts are posted in the Cast Services hallway before they are given out, so if you are higher up and want some OT, you can look at the lists and pick up a shift in your area. There aren't always shifts available...it just depends on staffing needs. Some of the shifts are really short so you can make some nice money in only a few hours.
