I have tomorow off so i'm going to research some cheap hotels around the area or near waterloo station, i'll post some results and between all of us we could probably arrange taking over a B&B ;D

  3. That sounds so much fun, im gonna have to stay 2 nights tho. Cos I dont wanna risk missing my flight on the 1st at night :(!

oooh missing flights are not fun. Went to concert in hyde park a few years ago, missed the last train home and spent the night making friends with pigeons at paddington station.

I'm going to get the train but a suggestion to anyone driving post where your coming from and you could arrange to pick another applicant up and split the petrol/road tax money.

Sorry guys, been the pictures with my little sis to see Confessions of a Shopaholic! Needed something to make me :D LOL

I had a look before and cause it's near southbank theres not many REALLY cheap hotels.
I've actually stayed in the County Hall Park Plaza (behind Waterloo)... But for £195 a night
that's a defo No No for this journey LOL

How do people feel about looking into perhaps renting a London apartment?? Could do 1/2 nights and they can sleep up to 6/8 people and just split the cost. Have self catering facilities also. Practise for Disney living quarters Haha.

If it doesnt work out too much it sounds great!!

I have no idea about accommodation in London ive only ever been there on a day trip, are there any travel inns or some kind of budget places to stay?
It says on the email you should expect to spend the whole day there, I know that basically means until you have your actual interview after the presentation, Im just wondering whether its risky to book a train ticket back for that day or if anyone else is thinking of staying for 2 nights?

For a northerner I've stayed in loads of places in London, for a decent place it's cheap to stay out of London and travel in on the tube. But I havn't started browsing intensley just yet.

I don't knw Arron, I found a train fare back to Liverpool which leaves at 9:07pm! I'd like to think interviews would be finished by then, just a little unsure!!

    Could email Michelle...

ahh thats quite good then! i think im still in the stone age and believe a train to london takes 5hours :p! but its only like 2 isnt it!
They should be finished by then, I imagine when they say the full day they mean until 5. Though surely by 9 haha! Are you planning on getting the 9.07 back to liverpool then Kathryn?

there's sleeper trains that leave from 10pm onwards and get you home for the morning i'm going to book one of them. I know it says be prepared to stay there all day i dobut very much that will extend into the night time.

There's a hotel near waterloo station called The mad hatter. For a twin room is £123.00. I can't see that price being bettered. I work in the industry and for London thats a very fair price.

Alice in wonderland is not strictly disney but i like the connotations. ;D

I'm thinking so yeah, it's the cheapest as well. And if you've got a 16-26 Railcard (which I dooo) it's cheaper again... It's all good I guess :)

Oh I know the prices for London and that... But I've found some apartments which sleep about 6/8 working out for 2 nights around £60 each... ?!?!?!? Comments ?!?!?!

Have you got a link with photos and info. They say sleep 6-8 they mean a pull out bed and a shower in the sink ;)

what are the odds we could the steal the bath tub from that flat?

It looks very nice, only thing troubling me about renting for a night is that one person would have to be accountable for any damage that could take place and even though i'm looking forward to meeting and hanging out with new people sharing a bed with a stranger (with no alcohol involved ;D) might be a little akward.

it would be good to try and get as many people staying in the same street/area as possible. From experiance though we won't be able to book together, most hotels don't take one night large bookings.

just been trying to download google earth to spy on southbank and work out how long we'd have to travel ;D i'm like 00Disney.

    Haha get spying!!
Ooh £60, ill definately be keeping it to just one night then!
Ahh i so wish I had my 16-21 railcard, Natwest never gave me one when i opened a student account!
Itll be all worth it though =D!

Speaking of alice in wonderland, has anyone heard of the new Tim Burton adaptation thats filming?? I cant wait for it! Jonny Depp, Helena Bontham Carter and the usuals! And Matt Lucas as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum!!
