Hey Marie!
Thanks, I have just gotten a call from the hotel and I will have a phone interview on Tuesday and that's when I'll know for sure if I get accepted.
I applied through an agency ( HRC International, pretty well kown ), which is based in Maastricht, Holland and they recruit people from all over Europe. They offer different trainings, all based on the hospitality industry ( like culinary, rooms division and f&b ) for either 12 or 18 months. I went to an interview with them last summer and it went pretty good. They told me to contact them again, once I finished my vocational training in Munich. So now they sent me this job offer out of the blue, as I didn't get back to them. I had changed my mind over the last 6 months and wanted to go to Canada instead. Nevertheless the program is awesome for my career and HRC helps you with getting started in the U.S., which is cool, too.
You need to pay your J-1 visa as well as insurance, flight and accomodation, but you will also earn around $ 8-9, so that's ok.
That's all I can think of right now....

Hey if I get the job I will have 18 months in Florida, that will do for a few trips up to Orlando  ;D And you will have a place to crash in Ft Lauderdale 
Marie- I have been there 3 years ago, so all of my friends from back then left. There are a few permanents working in the shops though ( who moved to Florida many years ago, got married and some of them have been working for Disney 20 years and more ), so I still know them of course. I also have a friend back from my time who is still working in Orlando, but not for Disney.

LOL I think you guys don't know what YOU getting yourself into. I already have a Disney year and a hospitality training on my back, it can't get worse. I'm always surrounded by crazy, loud, fun, weird people and I am one of them ;D Well either way girls, you would be more than welcome to come any time! I'll have my phone interview Tuesday and then I'll know for sure!

I've just been on the road for 2 days ( I went to see Keane in Cologne, I absolutely ADORE them ), I feel like I ran a marathon and got beaten up afterwards. Concert road trips are always so exhausting....But so much fun!

Yeah Keane...I love their music. It was AMAZING Sara. I have seen them in Munich before, but this time was even better. So much more energetic, involved with the crowd ( who was on fire ), just beautiful. I met them afterwards and they are the nicest, most polite famous people I have ever met. I was so impressed. But now my body is in sooo much pain LOL

About the job...we'll wait and see...two more days :

I saw keane a few months ago in a competition winners concert....was brillian, tho was very drunk and remember very little except we had a car crash on the way home, not alcohol related. my sober friend was driving! but the brakes failed haha!lol
