I received an email from sta travel and they got my details from yummy jobs! They asked my preferred airport etc and asked if I was ok for them to look for me! They then reserved me a british airways flight from edinburgh to gatwick and then on to orlando for £370 which I thought was pretty good so booked it lol!
Kyle, How quick did STA get back to you? I replied to the email sent by someone called jill i think but haven't heard anything since? x
You've pretty much got it. When you arrive you give them proof of how much your flight cost you. They work out how much that is in dollars (using the current exchange rate). If you bought a return, you only get half. If you complete your program, they reimburse the amount specified in those first couple of days (even if the exchange rate has changed), for you to use towards your flight home.
Thanks Vikki! I can move onto other things to stress over now! Aha. I'm lovin your site btw! I keep checking every 2-3 days to learn about your latest adventures! You're doing a brilliant job!! x
When I had my face to face interview I was told to book my flight through Disney (they didn't seem to like the idea of us doing it ourselves?), but it seems like most people book the flight themselves? What's the pros and cons?
I cant really see an advantasge to booking with Disney unless you cant aafford do pay upfront and disney let yuou pay bakc in installments however $20 a week is deducted from pay from what i have heard and they charge you around £500 for an indirect flight. Book it yourself and you can go when you want, fly with who you want and go direct. x
For us Norwegians they prefer that International Services book for us, so that we all get on the same flight and arrive together. Last time I did the program we had the option to pay everything back in full as soon as we arrived over there, or have a certain amount deducted from your paycheck until it was paid.
