Ona...you got breakfast??? I don't remember any breakfast!!!!

I arrived really early in the day (like 1pm), so Jen and I just walked over to the outlet mall to grab some food and wander around. You can easily walk her or to Publix from Chatham or the Commons. There is a lot more stuff around there now than was there when I arrived. There is a McD's too. From Vista, there are a bazillion fast food joints and Bennegans and Walgreens. You won't starve. Goodings in the Crossroads is 24 hours. It's expensive, but if you only have time to go out late, it'll get you food to survive for a couple of days. You will be fine. My roommates also offered me whatever I wanted from the fridge or cupboards. (Remember this when YOU get new roomies!!)

As for the water, yes, you will drink A LOT more than you are used too. You have too. It's far too hot when you are working outside.

so i know i have been reading the posts, and everyone's experience is different, but i am just wondering the "play by play". i get in at 1:00 in the afternoon... from what i've read, we get to the commons, have some time to move in, fill out paperwork, go to a meet/greet, then have our throw-in in the night time?

Shan yeah. Not much though. Basically, it was grab a croissant and the world's smallest cup of OJ and that's you. ;D

Kala, with you arriving at 1pm you're basically gonna have the rest of the day to yourself. Probably a wee bit of form filling but not much else. ;) You're on the IP right? If so, there's no official meet & greet but you can rest assured that the Canadians will know you are arriving and there'll be someone coming to meet you at some point. ;)

Ona...actually I now vaguely remember a croissant shaped thing and a juice shot glass. I was still asleep I think. The only thing I remember from the mornings was filling out papers VERY SLOWLY and wishing there was a separate class for those of us who were 100% fluent in english (not to be rude, I love everyone, but it was just really annoying when you were tired). I basically filled out my forms and the guy from Morrocco beside me. Name...wait 10 minutes...birthday...wait 10 minutes. GRRRRR!!!!!!!!

Kala...I arrived from Canada around that same time. We got picked up at the airport and since there was only two of us, he took us on the scenic route and showed us some places. When we got to the Commons, we went to the office and got our keys and had our ID photos taken so that we could go out that day. Maybe that took 30 minutes. We were then turned loose. Jen and I dragged my stuff to my apartment (which was right next to the clubhouse...whoo hoo!!). And then since she had farther to go, I helped her with her stuff. Then went back home. They had suggested that maybe we'd want to catch the Walmart bus, but since we knew that we'd get to go there in a couple days, we decided to wait. Walking into my apartment the first time to unpack was weird. I didn't feel at home. I felt like I was walking into some strangers apartment because nobody was home. So I looked around and took a couple hours to unpack and have a nap. Jen and I met back up and walked over to the outlets to explore and grab something to eat. Then we went home and my roommate was home. The Canadians had a dinner for us, so we met loads of them. After dinner, we went home. All my roomies were home, so I sat in the living room and chatted with them, until..............................sorry. Sworn to secrecy on the rest!!! :p

My advice...take some time and have a nap!!!!!!!! It'll be a late night and a VERY early morning for the next few days. As tired as you'll be, try your best not to pass up all the party ops that will come your way. It'll help you meet people and get settled.

that also just made me more excited... i didn't know it was possible! haha! only 15 more days though! i can't wait!

I guess moving into an apartment that either already has cast members in it, or is empty because no one's arrived yet could be a little awkward at first! i'm still looking forward to every minute!
