Haha I emailed Michelle about visas and we have to wait until Disney send them reference numbers and stuff for us all, as we will need them to make an appointment. So don't worry, it's all in hand! She said they hope to get them in the next couple of weeks.

I will definitely post my appointment date and time on here.

 

OMG we start in less than 4 weeks.......lol nothing like leaving it til the last minute hey!! ha ha. Ok lets all keep each other updated. x

 

I emailed Michele earlier who said they don't have anything yet & will let us know as soon as they do. The waiting game continues...

 

I hate this waiting and I'm getting paranoid not everything will be done in time! Eek!

 

Waiting does indeed officially suck! I can't start to get proper excited until all this is sorted!

 

ok..full lowdown.

I had to be at the embassy this morning for 8am, you queue outside for someone to check your stuff, they then tell you all your stuff- electronics, keys etc need to go into 'storage' storage is in a chemist halfway down the road and they charge you a fiver to store your stuff.

you then wait in another line and go through airport security type checks.

When you eventually get into the embassy your given a receipt with a number on, basically it's like an argos bank, you get your number called out and you go talk to the person behind the glass counter, I say talk, she hardly said a thing to me apart from to ask me to put my fingers on the fingerprint scanner.

Thats it, then you get charged £15 for your passport delivering back to you within 5 working days.

I was out of the embassy for 9am.

Oh yeah, definately no dress code, I felt out of place in my smart trousers and shirt.

 

Out by 9am...sweet! I can only hope I get through that quick & be home for lunch.

 

i'd not booked a train back until 2:30 it was bloody freezing down in london and i had the most uncomfortable shoes on.

it was hell i tells ya!

i got mine over xmas, it's just that my visa is already partly done in somebody elses name so i'm guessing they needed more time to sort mine out?

 

Sweet, I got an email from a dude called DJ who will be our training co-ordinator. Wanted to confirm the name & hometown on my badge. Thankfully, it's cool that I have Stu rather than Stuart as only my mother calls me Stuart!

 

I got that email too! Very exciting if I must say...still looking for insurance though. Why is it so difficult to find someone who will cover me??? LOL

 

Boo!! I didn't get that email What with that and no news on the Visa yet Im starting to think someone is trying to tell me something. I've also handed in my notice at work now so really hope everything is all still going ahead for 3rd Feb. I haven't started packing yet just in case.......

 

Michele just phoned me to ask my flight details, which are...non-existent still! She said it's no problemo that I'm leaving it until the visa is sorted. But she still hasn't heard 'owt from them about it. Grrrrrrr.

 

Yeah see my flight is booked but thats about it.......its booked for 3rd feb, realistically I may have to change it. I reckon if we give it til a week today to get the letter thru then if we can get an Emassy appointment in the same week, it takes 5 days for the passport to come back, we should get our passports back a few days before we go................STRESS!!!!!!

 

I'm still planning to book a flight the day after my passport comes back, whatever that may be. Even if it means I go out on the friday or saturday, I'd still rather get there early. Michele did also say worst case scenario is that we're pushed back to Feb 17th. Which would suck as I've already sorted out leaving work & would have 2 weeks of sitting on my arse doing nowt!
