come to think of it... I dont have my own pair of honorary bug glasses... hmm next time!!! I can't believe i've been lacking!!!
The first time I saw that show it stung me in the spine and hurt so bad! I didn't go on it for years. I now put a sweater on the back. Similar reason I haven't been to Honey I shrunk the audience in forever, it's a little to much of the physical stuff (from what I remember, I think I was 12 last time I went on it) That is why philharmagic and the muppet show at hollywood studios are the best.
I think compared to everything else, Honey I Shrunk the Audience would seem a lot tamer now since the technology has improved so much since that was originally opened. Granted, I can't even remember the last time I was on it! I think when Philhar and It's Tough To Be A Bug came out, I kinda became a 3D snob and everything else automatically just wasn't as fantastical lol New mission though: bug eyes and defeat the bees! We'll all support each other and *try* to keep our backs against the seat... operative word there being *try* haha I always, *always* jump too at the end of It's Tough To Be A Bug when all the little critters are leaving the theatre... and you feel them moving underneath your seat lol Dinosaur is a fun ride in Animal Kingdom too - prime opportunity for "LOOK! IT'S A DINOSAUR! HERE'S MY EXTREMELY SCARED FACE" pictures! haha
yeah I'm not getting in on putting my back against the seat. I will use a sweater or lean forward. I don't mind the part when you can feel the critters under your seat, I think it's the funniest because it gets the biggest scream Dinosaur is amazing! I've been on it tons, but it still does kind of scare me, it is just a reflex to move away from the dinosaur
i ran out of honey i shrunk the audience in tears when i was a kid, and didn't go back in for quite some time!
Yeah, I definitely always lifted my legs at the part where the mice run into the audience... I *knew* that it was just air being blown about my ankles, but with my over-active imagination I definitely thought I was amidst a wild pack of mice haha I was kinda the same way about the scene in the Great Movie Ride that's a take-off of the Alien movie! I hadn't seen it as a kid, so definitely didn't know what was going on... so when those crazy UGLY aliens came out of the ceiling/wall... needless to say I burrowed myself deeper between my mum and my dad! The munchkins though I still find creepy looking to this day lol But hey, apparently some people like to have wedding receptions there so to each their own!
Yeah, that was definitely the scariest ride of life! It was really well done, just *too* well done! Though I can't say replacing it with Stitch was much of an improvement That little critter just annoys me sometimes! A lot of people call it "Stitch's Great Mistake" hehe Though at least when I went on it after the refurb I wasn't fearing for my life lol! Don't think I'll ever forget what the original alien looked like though... I was in the front row too! Oh gosh and when it drooled on you and you could feel it's breath.... I'm prooooobably going to have nightmares tonight now, yay!
When I was little I used to just close my eyes and cry lol! Yeah... remember on the monorail... welcome to Stitch Kingdom... ugh that annoying little bugger... that ride is so lame!
Yeah, he kinda took over the park after Lilo & Stitch came out... I was not too impressed! I can see them changing that ride in the future though, just once they're done refurbishing some of the older attractions (Space Mountain, Jungle Cruise, etc). One *old* ride that I used to have a love/hate relationship with was that bucket-type ride that hovered over Fantasyland on a cable. I don't recall the name of it off the top of my head, I just knew that a) I loved thinking that all the little people below were like tiny dolls, and b) I was petrified the thing was going to fall off the wire I think they took it down in the end cause it was too risky with weather and all, but I kinda like Fantasyland more now without those things hanging overhead! Plus it's a better view for fireworks
As if! That thing makes me feel like I'm going to fly out and land somewhere in the TTA! Definitely not as tame as Dumbo (which by the way - ROCKS!) Speaking of the TTA though - that's good for a nice little nap hehe! And the Hall of Presidents is even better! Or Ellen's Energy Adventure... a good few cozy attractions for that sorta thing lol
I love all the classics like Carousel of Progress, TTA, Spaceship Earth. And yeh, Alien Encounter really really scared me, I was tiny and I actually cried!! If it was a moving ride it probably wouldn't have been so bad, it's the fact it was a single dark room and everyone was strapped to their seats
