Fastpass for castmembers?/Castmembers IDs MERGED TOPICS!

I think you get it within a couple of days, you need the ID to get into de park and work... so they give it to you as soon as possible

 

you get your ID in the first days, but that only gives you free admisson. for your parents you get the main entrance pass, but that one you dont get until three month later, so you will have to ask someone to sign your parents in!!! have fun!

I was wondering that myself to. I was told I start Sept 13th..but what i am allowed into housing or I start training. I forgot to ask Eric as I was to excited. I am sure it will come in the info pack although he told me it wont come till summer. So by reading people seem to get them a couple of months before they leave.

i asked this question and i believe the answer i got was

that you're flight is suppose to be on the day eric gave you..so if he said sept 6th..then schedule your flight for sept 6th..but u'll get it inthe package i believe...

You are so WRONG shanny!!! you got a discount coupons set for the Outlets when you show the ID inside the food court in the little stand in the center, the regular customers have to buy it or so to get oit, but for Disney castmembers it's for free. I use it so well before thanksgiving and even after the sales and everything I got better rebates with the coupons than the black friday sales speacials. They give you like 15% off in Banana, or guess outlet or so... not that much but something. In McDonalds of Downtown Disney you can get 20% off and so on... in Disney stores you get 20% off in regular season and 40% or 50% I guess in the cristmas dates marked for castmember discounts. So it is definitely a master key to discounts!!!!!!! besides the posibility to enter to the parks and sing in by a low rate to the Grand Floridian resort SPA, it is a must do!!!! for 50 bucks I guess now, you get the membership for a month, you can use the gym, and spa and get discounts in massages and treatments, but the jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, and gym is good enough!!! believe me I was a complete fan of it after and before working... a good way to pamper yourself after been standing up for ages! your legs and feet will thank you...!

Jen- yeah your question has been kinda answered before lol but let's do it all in one....you get your cast ID shortly after you have arrived. Housing takes your picture the same night you arrive to make sure you get your ID as fast a possible. You will only have trainings for the first 10 days, so you won't need an ID and by the time you start working you will have it.
As for the maingate, you get it about 3 months after starting your job and then you can sign in up to 3 people 12 times. If you don't receive your maingate pass before your parents are visiting ask a roomie, friend or co-worker and they will sign them in for you! It's really not such a big deal!
The date that was mentioned by Eric is the leaving date, not the day you will be starting your job. However you will receive all the information a few weeks prior to your take off.

K i really dont get the maingate thing...is it a one time thing or is it like a certain amount of passes you get?.....i have friend comming down in october and in february ans well as a few friend that have said the want to come visit. so i just wante4d to know how many people i can get it

Sheena, I believe this is the way the maingate works.....

You can use it on 12 days each calendar year for up to 3 people each day. You should get your maingate in early December, so you have 12 days in December to use it and then you will get a new one in January. So, as an example, if only your parents are coming down for a week in December, you get get them in for the seven days. You still have 5 days left, but just because you didn't use your maingate to get a third person in, you essentially lose them. You can still only let up to 3 people in with it for the remaining 5 days.

Hey Ruben!!! I got lots of discounts at the outlet mall and only had the coupon book a couple of times. It IS possible to get ones without the booklet...but it can be useful too!

The maingate sounds confusing but you'll figure it out...it's like having 12 tickets in one. You can use each ticket for yourself and up to three people (it's for 4 people but you count on this one)...even if you only get in two people it still counts. It's a hopper-type pass so once you get them in, your guests will have a ticket that will let them get into the other parks without you. Hope that helps.
