I'm still stickin with the 2nd only because I've booked my coach ticket for 10am on the Friday, otherwise I would have done the 1st lol.

So, has everyone got their documents and clothes ready for the day? I'm still deciding what to wear :/ x

I have only just finished the online application and printed it out. I dunno if anyone else had the same problem but the website wouldn't work for me over the weekend.

As to the outfit.. I still have to dig out my smart trousers but i bought a new top the other day. Things are starting to come together :) x

Aww, if I'd have seen the email about swapping to the 1st Oct, I may have considered it! Work were not very pleased at me taking a Saturday off!! (Especially as they don't know what it's for!)

Clothes wise, I'm wearing a knee length black skirt, flat black ballet pumps, a white shirt and black jumper. The southbank gets pretty chilly!!!

Every time I come on this forum I get so excited I want to burst!! I'm sorry if on the day I'm insanely excited... though I get the idea that a few of us will be!

How many times has everyone here applied before? And how far through the application process have you got?
This is my 4th Application and my first phone and f2f interview.

    S x

It was about time they interviewed me!! Persistance is key, hehe.

I'm very lucky actually because I live and work in London, so it'll only be a 20 minute train ride to get there. I'm quite glad they changed the venue too because I can hop off at Waterloo and not have to get the smelly tube.

Did I read something about coffee at Waterloo before the interview? I'm still not 100% sure where the restaurant is, so I was planning a rekkie visit next week so I'm not late on the day! Following everyone else after coffee would be easier though ;)

Yep, I think there are a few of us meeting at Starbucks at Waterloo at about 9-9.15 and heading over together.

I'm wondering whether to get one service that gets me in to Waterloo at 9.10, or possibly get an earlier one but that means I'll get to Waterloo at 8.38... but it means getting up earlier :( lol what to do, what to do

Morning lovelies! How are we all?

I still have yet to start the online application thingy - I'm waiting until I have a long period of time to just sit down and do it (which is proving to be very rare atm) but it also sounds like I'll need a long period of time to encounter all the error messages. Haha.

I've fished one of my old trouser suits out but I'm debating over whether to go and buy a smart dress & jacket combo.

Also, I've been thinking, what order of job preference is everyone thinking of putting down on their slips? Just thought it would be interesting to see whether there are more Merchie or F&B wannabes here. Lol

Hotel & Train tickets are now booked, so now just gotta get all my bits of info together and I'm ready! I'm so excited about this! The dreams are becoming much more Disney orientated now.. and THE DREAM is becoming more and more real! :)

Sorry for the mammoth essay-like post! Haha. I really am looking forward to meeting all you lovelies! :)

I'm a merch wannabee :) I've worked in retail before and I really enjoy it so that's where I'd prefer to be, but I certainly wouldn't be complaining if I got f+b either!

Good luck guys, I bet you're getting excited!

Roxysurfroxy, I'd go for the trouser suit as long as it's good condition- cos if you get a position you'll want to save as much money as possible for when you are out there!
-Unless you really fancy a nice new work dress :)

Generally speaking, there are more positions for f and b, slightly fewer for merch (in my arrival group there are 4 f and b, 1 merch- 2 I don't know about) and only a couple of positions for HRC. I only had merch experience- like several others- and we got merch. I guess they do that cos f and b is very busy, so having people that have done it before is beneficial. Having said that, some people get offered a position they have never done before, cos disney give you all the training you'll need.

I wouldn't worry too much about your preferences though- you could be offered one you didn't expect!! x x x

    Heya roxysurfroxy!
I still need to do my online application too, I've had a go at it twice but the first time the application froze up on me and the second time my printer was having issues. Going to have another go this weekend when I've got the time.

I ended up getting a new dress but only because I had a £20 Motel voucher to use up. Found a smart knee length dress, it's a sort of high-waisted black skirt/ blouse combo dress. The only black trousers I have are skinny jeans or leggings, so not really Disney interview appropriate :)

With my job preference, I think I'm leaning more towards F&B at them mo. I've had experience in both retail and F&B so I'd be super excited with either :) I think I'm leaning more towards F&B because I've read more info on that position and most of the Disney blogs seem to be about F&B, so I feel I know a bit more about it than merch. But I'd honestly be happy with either!

I think I must be the only one on here that really wants to do Guest Relations. I have worked as a hotel receptionist for over 2 years so i feel this would be my strength, plus I know alot about Disney and the parks, I would loove to do that.
2nd choice would be F&B, I have worked as a waitress before and love the fast-paced atmosphere.
But hey I will be happy with anything they throw at me! ;D

What's Guest Relations? Didn't know we could do that on CRP? ???

Only options available to us are F+B, Merch, and HRC.
Unless you meant HRC, but that's finding the history behind familys names and crests etc, :/

Positions in Guest Relations do not exist on this program sadly.

As a non-US citizen, to get into a Guest Relations position, you need to be fluent in at least one other language. This would also mean applying for a J1 visa, probably via the J1 Academic Program. These programs can also last up to one year, and from my understanding, if successful, you could end up working in any park, resort, ESPN Wide World of Sports or Downtown Disney as a Guest Relations Cast Member.

    :)

Oh ok guys, thanks for the info. I must have wrong information. I swear I saw it on the CRP website? Anyone got a link to where it says all this please? :)

    F&B it is then! ;D
