Ooh right! Yes, I can only imagine how much more nervous that must have made you. I'm a midlands girl so I guess I'll be in the middle somewhere. Not too bad... should def have time for an afternoon *bucks meet & london eye ride! :)

Mine was at around 3.15.. and I'm only from Brighton so I was towards the end! So the theory will be tested if I get a similar time this year!!

Ahh lovely, Starbucks :) I think I will need a caffeine fix just before the presentation, although I'll be on an adrenaline high!!

Aah, so you've applied before? Sorry, I don't mean to sound rude, I've prob already read a post with you saying so already. When was that? How did you find the experience?

Same here re: the adrenaline high & I too will def need a caffeine fix! lol

I'll probs be getting the train a bit before that, getting in at 12:42 (it's £30 cheaper than yours!) so I could meet you at Kings X and walk to the hotel with you if u want?

Ooo sweet! :) how much was your train? I got a 18-25 rail card and a anytime return cost me £34 so not too bad, although I did have to buy the rail card at £24 too lol, but I know I'll be using that again so will get my moneys worth.

And yea that sounds like a plan! :)

How far is kings X from the hotel? Didn't think it was in walking distance? Although iv only been to london twice in my life so I dunno lol

Yea I applied this time last year, and got through to the F2F interviews. But I was still at uni so wouldn't have been able to go until July.. I was on the waitlist, but yummy emailed be at the end of June saying that applications were open again and I would be a welcome applicant etc etc So here I am! lol unfortunately I didn't get to go, so i can't say for that experience- but the presentations and stuff were pretty cool, and meeting so many likeminded people. Just happy I've found the forum this time around so I can get to know you all beforehand!

It's not really walking distance - I mean you can walk it in 30-40 mins but it'd be a pain with bags so much easier to do the tube. Easiest route is probably to take the Piccadilly Line to Leicester Square then change onto the Northern Line down to Waterloo, total journey time approx 20 mins.

BTW, speaking of the tube, never buy single fares in London, they're specifically overpriced for tourists. Always get an Oyster card or travelcard.

    Here are prices:
    Single fare: £4.00
    Oyster single fare: £1.80 (£2.20 before 9.30)
Day travelcard: £5.60 (£7.20 if you're going to be travelling before 9.30am)
Oyster daily fare: Single Oyster fare rates until you hit travelcard rate, at which point you pay no more.

You can get an Oyster from any ticket counter, you just give them a 3 pound deposit, top it up with some credit, and you can use it to travel wherever you like in London hassle free and if you're doing say 3 journeys one day and only one the next you don't have to pay the full whack each day, just what you use.

Plus many places are walking distance, so always check on a map before taking a pricey tube ride!

    Jon.

If I get a railcard it will be about £35 there and £22 back, plus the railcard price. Do you think leaving at 7pm on the 2nd will leave plenty of time to get from interview to kings x?

Ooo ok! Yeh I think it should, you might even be waiting around for your train if you get a earlier time too! Lol

From what people have put from past applications it looks like 5ishh, is the latest they go to, but if, like other people have said, they go by distance (furthest away from london first and closest last) then I think you should be fine

Yeh my interview was at 4.30, but that was after some people didn't come back for theirs so I went in a little earlier, so just make sure you go back about 1/2 hr before your interview time because you never know what will happen!!!

Still can't believe some people don't come back for the interviews- madness! Still, less competition I guess!!

 what? Ok ermm I think everrrryone else should not come back for their interviews, so I'm the only one there ;)

Haha only joking of course! Wouldnt be the same if I got the job without you lot!

aww, Gary - such a sweetie! Lol

That's crazy. What do people do? Go to the presentation and think, nah - I don't want that?? How can you not like a Disney presentation!? Plus we know how much stress, worry, time, and effort (and not to mention luck) goes into getting to that stage.

I reckon they get distracted by the shops/being a tourist... cos the other reason cannot possibly be true...

They must be suffering some sort of mild mental complaint to not come back... in which case it's pretty good they didn't get through!!

Crazily enough I can imagine some people would be put off by the presentation - being Disney geeks everyone here will have read up on the job and is probably having trouble thinking about anything else at the moment, but I imagine lots of people just fire off a CV to everything on the Yummy site and barely read what the job involves.

If they have the right experience and confidence I can see them fluking an interview, then when they see the pres they decide it's not for them. Madness, for sure, but I can see it happening!

Yeah, I'd have to agree with Jon. I suppose a lot of people will get cold feet once they actually see what the experience entails. I know it's crazy, but it happens. I'm really surprised more people haven't joined this site. It's like one of the first things that popped up on google when I searched for more info on the CRP.

ps sorry for crashing this thread!!
