F2F interview: 1st October

Yeah, I'm definitely up for that. I will no doubt be up very early beforehand, so would be nice to grab a coffee or something.


One of the worse things that could happen, has happened to me. A coldsore!! I've bought so called invisible patches, but they're so not. I really really hope it goes by the time of the interview cos I wasn't planning on wearing any make up but I'd def have to try and conceal this monster.

 

Hello! I'm one of the people who switched from the 2nd to the 1st! Just fits in better with work!

So I think I'm staying at the Adria in Hammersmith as it was the cheapest hotel I could find! If people are meeting up the night or morning before would it be possible to tag along?! Never been to London on my own before and convinced I'm going to end up lost!!!

Do you know how far your hotel is from Disney HQ?

 

According to google maps it's a bit under a 20 minute walk or a 5 min taxi ride! Doesn't seem too bad!

 

Hey .. im so excited.. booked my flights over now! Doesnt feel lik theres many others at all from Belfast comin over! Is everyone meeting in the morning of the interview for a coffee? I would love to i think it would make us feel a bit better.. chill me out anyway

My boyfriend is staying in London with me, so I'll be spending the morning with him and I think I'll decline the offer of coffee with everyone. He's going to be feeling left out enough as it is, with all our Disney madness at the meal in the evening!

 

Well I'm thinking of organising an enroute coffee stop! Depending upon where people are travelling from there are a few around the area that I've looked into - so if people want to I can organise a time and place.

Yeh well if we get somewhere arranged I will def be up for coming cause no doubt i will be up at the crack of dawn so im not late.

One of the girls i lived with at Uni is from London so im gonna stay at her house in Wembley. Bit out of the way like so if you's just let me know where it is we are meeting im sure i will try and find it

 

I am FULL of flu right now - its a beauty, hopefully will be all out of my system by next week - dont want to infect you lovely lot haha.

Will put together a time & place for the coffee stop enroute to disney HQ & let you all know next week - is that okay with everyone?

An early morning coffee meet sounds brill, would be ace to meet people before heading over to Disney HQ! A lot less nerve-wracking walking over in a group.

Heya guys!
I was just wondering... does anybody know if Disney contact your employer for a reference? It's just that I haven't mentioned to my boss that I was applying for this program, so she'd have a bit of a shock if they phoned her up asking for a reference. As I'm still at the interview stage I didn't want to mention anything as I may not get a position with Disney so didn't want to mention anything as it's not definite.

Aw thanks for that - lemsip & vicks are doing a marvellous job to help clear me out.

I have asked that question too about references as I had to track a manager down from a previous job as the current one is a witch. As far as I know Disney don't contact references. But if anyone knows for definite that would be ace.

 

They don't contact your referees, so you'll be ok. I know that a lot of people don't tell their work until last minute so they can keep their jobs until they go

Thanks for the reference info, I'm quite glad they don't go ringing round. I'd just rather have myself tell my boss that I'm applying for another job rather than have someone call her out of nowhere for a reference. For some reason I feel wrong not being able to mention this whole interview process in work, as if I'm being all sneaky...
