don't get me started on musicals. I LOVE them. It's a family thing...

no, haven't heard but didn't expect to over the weekend. It would probably be better for my degree for it to be the friday...but then I'd have wasted money on the Germany trip and my friends would be a bit annoyed...
will have to see what they say...

Definitely up for meeting on the day and having starbucks and general fun london times while waiting for interviews!
Im going to come down the night before from lancaster, but im hopefully staying in Stevenage with my auntie and then getting the train into london on the day. Im quite worried about getting the tube though, Ive never been on it on my own before. and i dont really know london, like, at all!
What else is in the area? Is the place difficult to find?

    Hey SophiAmelia

I have never been to the interview place but it is by the imax i do know which means if you get the train into london waterloo you don't even need to get the underground it's walking distance, you'll be fine as long as you leave yourself enough time

Ooooo i wonder who we will be having our interview with because we have it in pairs right, i wonder if they ask both of us the same question of different once it would suck if your going second all the time and the person your with says everything you were going to say lol!!!

So excited guys, I may also do the 'night before' thing, catch a show or something as it's my birthday on 17th, maybe I could celebrate a few days late!
We must make a plan to meet up and be tourists...bring some comfortable shoes!

Hey! Have done my dissertation on the tube, and sat on it for a lot of last summer. It's really easy to use and not too scary. There are signs everywhere so you won't get lost. If you're coming from stevenage you're likely to be going to kings x/ st pancras- they've just opened their new tube access which is really easy to find, you just have to walk for miles to get to the platforms- unless you know the short cuts! x

Tube is easy peasy...just at that time in the morning it is PACKED!
The restaurant is so super easy to find from waterloo :) Promise!! Maybe we should all arrange to meet at waterloo before hand?! and we'll all recognise each other. Its so weird, i'd never seen pictures of the 5 people i met before my icp interview, but i walked straight up to this girl who looked a little lost and i just knew :) and now shes one of my besties :).

On the musicals thing...i went to see Avenue Q yesterday and i recommend it to EVERYONE. Its fabulous!! I laughed so much my sides hurt!! I love wicked too! <3 I want to be Elphaba...one day...one day. hahaa.

Has everyone had a nice weekend? Hope so! ;D xx

Thanks for the tube advice Belle and Katlou, I'm sure itll be fine! I do need to book trains and sort everything out though. is it best to buy tube tickets before i go do you think? How does that work, do you get a pass for the day, or just for the specific place that you want to go?
I think it would be nice to meet at Waterloo! Would be good to meet people before actually getting there. :)

Im jealous of all the musicals you guys have seen! Ive never heard of Avenue Q though. The only thing like that ive ever gone to see is Dirty Dancing, and i dont think that really counts as a musical. it was still really good though! Lucy, phantom of the opera is my favorite film, and i would LOVE to see it!! ive heard its awesome.

Avenue Q is amazing! :D I saw it in New York last summer and just loved it. I really want to see Legally Blond now, oh and Wicked! I wish more of these companies would tour.

I'd love to meet up before hand. Just tell me when and where :)

We definately should meet at waterloo, that would be brilliant!
I'm so glad I found this site, I feel like I've made friends already :D
We're in February now guys, sooo close! Just about to sort my train tickets out, I've got to get up sooo early if i don't stay in London the night before! Argh!
Just a quick question...what prompted everyone to apply for this programme, other than the obvious choice of working for Disney?

You can either get an oyster card (which is good if you know you'll be going to London at some point in the future). They cost £3 to buy and then you put money on it and can travel around, and it will never charge you more than a day travel card, and is better if you don't make that many journeys.

Or you can get a day travel card- they're about £6 depending on which zones you use.

You can get tickets before hand if you get them with your rail ticket but they might not be as flexible. Probably the best thing to do is get them at the ticket hall of the tube station- the new one at kings x is really big so hopefully you shouldn't have to wait too long!

    Hope that helps a little!

As for musicals, I think avenue q is brilliant. Could listen to the soundtrack all day! Saw Billy Elliott over xmas which was also good. Think my fave is defo Wicked through and I loved Mary Poppins...really want to see Jersey Boys- my sis bought the Ryan Molloy CD with all the Franki Valli songs on it and it's amazing!!! x x x

Welcome Arielbabe! Look forward to seeing you on the 19th. Some of us are planning to meet at waterloo before the presentation if you would like to join us!

p.s I have to tell you all about a funny thing that just happened. My boss calls us all in to a meeting (me and several builders, i work in construction) and hands us all a sheet of paper that claims our office has the highest internet usage in the region...the most frequently visited websites being amazon.co.uk, ebay.co.uk, google.com and some website called wdwip.com. Everyone was like, wdwip.com? What is that? I just sat there like....hmm yeah, that would be me..whoops! Here begins the questioning...lol! :D
