Who would have thought! Hmm..what is the barcode for then ??? ?? That was what I was talking about though.

You are welcome, glad I could help with the checklist. Didn't consider the minor difference like postage (sorry about that). But that is what makes each country unique ;) ;D!

Now all I need is my DS-2019...please come!!!

Well I was wondering that myself. ??? I guess they connect the barcode to your info. at the interview. And from then on, it makes their life easier. Who knows. ::) Seems such a complicated way of doing things. But then I'm still trying to figure out why they aren't just using a simple html form and display page rather than messing about with pdfs. ::) Apparently, they like a challenge. The easy way? Never! ;D

Hehe, damn right they like I challenge! Being stuck there for 3 hours (or 7 if you're incredibly unlucky) shows that!

Also, here's a pointer for anyone who has to sort out an appointment...try and get an appointment in the afternoon. They stop appointment times at about 2 because they close at 5.30 (i think, for the london one anyway!) so if you get there for 1.15 like I did, you're pretty much guaranteed to be out of there after about 3 hours. A group of guys I befriended had been there since 10am and I beat them out by 4pm!

Euch Georgy. My appointment is 9.15am. Hopefully I'll not be in there too long. :-\

Another update, as I was about to re-do the DS-156, cursor hovering over the begin button, a text box appeared saying that some folks have tech issues when trying to fill in the form. If that happens, just wait a couple of hours then try again. So I think you can def. do it over again Laura with absolutely no worries. ;)

Thanks Ona! May try again over the weekend. I have plenty of time anyway considering my appointment's not until the 21st. Could probably wait until I have a definite US address.
Actually too busy Saturday..............off to see Bon Jovi at Hampden! So excited!!! Last time I saw them was in New York in 2001 while I was on the IP!!! ;D
Turns out I had to pay that SEVIS fee too but my sponsor just totally missed that off the info they sent me! ::)So thanks for letting me know! Did it online the other night .................another $100, that's $200 just for the visa alone!!! ::)

    Laura. :D

Ona don't worry. I had the exact same problem, but I didn't realise until the night before my interview. I went on the site to change it but it wasn't working, probably technical difficulties. It still didn't work the next morning + I couldn't get through on the phone so after serious panicking I decided to risk it. The visa woman quickly skim read my form + didn't say anything + I have my visa now so have hope! All will be fine!

    Good luck with it
