    Got mine today.

According to Disney Worldwide Services I don't actually live in Buckinghamshire, but Aberdeenshire. I reckon I can get to Amsterdam quicker from here than Aberdeen ::)

The Disney Look book is pretty mind boggling. Going to have to really sharpen up my act when I get back from Paris :p

I certainly hope you are not implying Paris has lower standards? I am offended by such a comment...

Wouldn't dream of saying anything of the sort Mr Shareholder Sir.

What's the deal with shoes by the way? I've only skimmed through the book, it looks like we provide our own - that right? Normal, uncomfortable, black, smart shoes?

Do Walmart do a special line in Castmember shoes then? 8)

Seems a bit strange waiting till you're over there to get them, or do you have to have them given the OK by managers or something? Already got a couple of pairs of black shoes I hardly ever wear, prefer not to have to buy another pair..

I'll definetely take with me just 1 pair of black, uncomfortable elegant shoes...
    ...it will be enough!!!

It's been now 10 days since I got the call about my departure date..
...I hope next week to find something colorful, amazing and wonderful in mu mail box!!!!

    Another question...
wondering about the departure date I ended up with a question:
we have to arrive there wearing a suit or just jeans and T-shirt???

Andrew: I'm sure whatever you bring is fine.

I'll be taking shoes for training etc to wear with my smart clothes.

Alex: You can arrive wearing whatever you like. Something comfortable for the flight would be good, as you dont actually start until a couple of days after you arrive so its not like you have to dress smart for training etc.

Alex I know how you feel, I want my info pack too! But they told me mine wouldn't come until about a month before I leave, which means June. But I think Canadian Cultural Reps get them later then everyone else because of the visa thing.

I could FedEx you a box of Crayons, they're colorful, I don't know about the amazing part though. ;D :p

...wearing a suit for 16 hours is not exactly what I call "amazing"!!! :D
I'll definetely choose veeeery comfortable clothes indeed!!!

    That's quite a long time...
...I hope that the pack will arrive very soon indeed!!!
What kind of problem Canadians have with Visa???
    By the way...
..thanks for the Crayons.. LOL!!! ;D ;D

    Your welcome Alex!! ;D

It's not so much a problem with the canadian visas, it just takes a while because Disney gets them for us.

Ya, you can show up wearing anything, as long as you're wearing something! :p

OK, for anyone who hasn't gotten the pack and what's it to be a complete surprise....

    STOP READING NOW!!!!

For everyone else, the pack contains, 2 Mickey Stickers, 2 Mickey Luggage tags, a "Disney Look" book, a letter containing your hiring info ie: what you're working and some more details, a sample housing agreement, the acknowledgement form you're supposed to fax confirming you want to go, another letter basically talking about buying bedsheets and stuff and another letter talking about how entering the U.S has gotten stricter and people need their original birth certificate (english versions have to be provided if they are in a different language). Canadians also get their Visa forms in the package. The contents of the package are all in a nifty blue folder that has a small booklet attached in the center with info all about Disney World. This is what my package contained anyways, someone's told me they didn't have exactly the same stuff or was missing something... so other people may have different things. All in all though, it's super cool!

I have to confess that I tried not to read it....
    ...but I'm too curious.. :D
it seemed like Christmas, when you take your home upside down to find XMas presents!!!
...and at the end I read it! ;)

    Now I can really say...
POST MAN DO YOUR JOB AND DO IT WELL...THERE'S A PACK ROCKING FOR ME!!!! ;D ;D

    QUESTION PLEASE.......
In the Disney Look Book.........for the ladies.....does it say ALOT about the hair colour and the styles??
I TRULY worry about this one!!! I AM a redhead ALTHOUGH I do chemically ENHANCE it and I worry that the colour that I use MAY be to bright for Disney standards and I am NOT sure what to do when I am down there?? I am SO use to getting it professionally done and I assumed down there I could box enhance myself? ???
Also, I have a funky style and wondered WHAT EXACTLY do they suggest about styles??

info would REALLY help me out before I leave!!

    THANKS :D

    spa_life_girl,

I'm in the same boat you are with the red hair. My natural shade is more of a copper, I tend to darken it to auburn. I've decided for disney to let it go back to natural instead of trying to keep up with it. I asked at the interview however and Jeff said as long as it looked natural it was fine.

How the heck can you look at MY hair and say....AS LONG AS IT LOOKS NATURAL??

Jeff told me I would have to change the highlights and I HAVE......gone back to one LONELY colour...... :'( :'(

So, then I thought.....I can SAVE LARGE over there as long as I just go get CUTS and do my OWN colour!!

But with that........I want to make sure the bright red that I LOVE looks NATURAL???

OH the troubles of being a GIRL!! ;)

Hey Spa...totally agree with you on that one.

I'm so used to be either really dark red or really bright. However coz I applied over a year ago I've let my colour grow out, but I do miss it like crazy....

Anyway I wont pretend I'm a professional but if you need any help I'm willing to help.

Maybe just for a year you could get your hair dyed to a colour that is very close to your natural colour...boring I know, but maybe worth it for a year??

However I have been professionally ENHANCING it for YEARS now!!

OH WELL!! Will take you up on THAT offer though love on the assistance!! Could USE it!! HAHAHAHAH

We can have some FUN with this!!
