you can't apply for a ppt in England if you aren't actually there, so you would go to the British Consulate in Orlando. It's a good idea to take photocopies of your passport with you in case you need them. There's loads of info on www.fco.gov.uk/travel.

I don't suppose there are safes in the appartments to keep passports etc in?

Excellent thanks for the info guys.

I'd be more worried about taking it out on a night out and losing it than someone taking it...:)

No reason why you can't use the provisional! It's photographic ID and I used mine in the states before I had my full licence. It's official and it proves it's you, that's good enough. besides, I'm not even sure they realise that one is red and one is green anyway! My one never had the big L on it though when I had mine!

And I'm fine. Been working a lot trying to get the money to afford the flight!

Please, PLEASE do not take your passport everywhere you go! My biggest fear the entire time I was at Disney was losing my Canadian passport. If something horrible were to happen when you were in the states (I don't think I need to explain - its America) and you were stuck without a passport, you could be in big trouble and I've heard horror stories about people being stuck in the states and having to battle the authorities, etc just to get out to get home. I had to take my passport to PI once because on approx. my 97th time at PI they decided to say that my Ontario Drivers Lisence wasn't vaild ID. (but they accepted it 3 months later when I was there...morons) Anyway....and I'm not kidding, I duct-taped it to my body. Other than that day and the days I went on cruises, etc. my passport never left my locker. As far as I'm concerned...if Disney is an international tourist attraction, they can learn how to accept international forms on photo ID. I had one problem in an entire year with my Ontario one and I've used it several times since then in the states. Can you imagine if an American showed their state license in another country and it wasn't accepted, they'd have a Mickey!.

I don't even know if I'm going yet! I'm getting in way over my head. I should leave these things and only worry about them if I make it into the CRP. ;D

it strikes me strange that they would ever have a problem, like said, considering it's the biggest holiday destination in the world, you'd think they'd realise all over orlando that people won't have american forms of id and don't want to carry a passport everywhere.

i've never had any problems using my UK driver's licence, provional and full either in orlando or when living in california. So I'm hoping and assuming that I shouldn't have a problem still.

but again, i'm hoping to get florida id as my 'just in case'

I think she meant in a non-wellness apartment.. if underagers were drinking in the apartment of an over 21 year old, who would get termed in that case? Just the under 21, or the over 21 whose apartment it was too? Id hope it doesnt occur too often coz if u were under 21 surely ud be careful enough to put ur drink down if security came round!!!

Ah yes you're right! We'll I'd assume based off what they told us, that the person drinking and the person who supplied them with the drink would get termed. And based off what I've seen first hand if someone dosn't step forward I'd expect a lot of people to get termed over it...

Just to let you know you could be placed in an under 21 apartment even if you are 21. I was in a wellness, and a 23 year old had to live in mine through no choice of his own because they said there were no over 21 apartments free.
He had to sign a contract to say he wouldn't have any alcohol in the apartment, and luckily he didnt.

yeah i was wondering if ur in over 21 appts and under 21s had come over and visted. a couple of people have said on here that if ur under 21 u just drink in an over 21 appt. but i could imagine that everyone who was there would get into trouble unless whoever supplied the drinks owned up.

i hate taking my passport out with me so i will defo be getting a florida id card. in vegas they wouldnt take my provisional license as id - and id only gone to the bar to get coffees! i'd hate to be put into a wellness appt just because i would hate the idea that i would get termed if they were drinking- it does seem unfair

I never had a problem with my Ontario license either until a week before I left. I think the bouncers are just morons sometimes. The "lady" at Motion wouldn't accept it so I took it to Beach Club and they let me in. Then the lady from Motion saw me and was gonna get my termed but the Security Guard told her my ID was valid. So I still got told to leave PI for the night cause I didn't "obey" the first bouncer, but whatever. I just wouldn't suggest taking your passport to the bar if you plan on getting tanked.

i dont actually know anyone who was termed for drinking (thank God for that) but i think that one someone said was right if youre under 21 and drink its possible just DONT do it in youre wellness apartment thats just plain stupid(a roomate of mine did and caused a rift between those wantin to tell and not) and DO be careful, the second you're not careful it can become a problem, also it is Price Management(apartment security) that are tight not Disney, just so long as you put ur drink down as soon as securitys at a party, dont attempt to drink in PI or are blatantly drunk in front of security you're ok. BUT there are other reasons ppl get termed i know someone who was termed because a guest said'you're in a bitchy mood today' CM replied 'im not in a bitchy mood' and was termed coz she swore in front of a guest - just be careful and make guests happy n ure fine! :)

If an under21 is found drinking in an over 21 apt then price management are likely to try and terminate all those found drinking under 21 AND the people whos apartment they were in. Price management liked to turn up at parties and confiscate housing IDs off everyone under 21 and those whos apartment it was, often just a scare tactic but did sometimes lead to termination if they could prove under21s were drinking..

My mate had a massive party the last night, and we just locked the door..It was packed..and noisey..so obviously price management came knocking..We checked who it was first through the spyhole thing..everyone who was 21 just held there drinks in the hands and everyone who wasn't just put them down..obviously before they opened the door..then they opened the door and said..who here's 21 and the people who were 21 just put there hands up and then they just were like cool and just went..
They were the cool black guys who used to work at vista way and chattam quite often too..don't no if they still work there..i was from chattam and they used to let me into vista way after 9 without anyone signing me in..which your not supposed to do..
BE WARNED THOUGH..there are some very nasty price management staff like people have mentioned..so there not all nice like these guys are..Still though i am sure if you took the piss with these guys and pushed them to there limits even they would send you home..You've just gotta be careful really..

im quiet nervous now! im there for a year and a month after i return im 21 which is sods law!
ive heard all kinds of opinions on whether to drink or not! Jason from yummy jobs was adamant not too (which is kinda obvious) but people he was talking to who have been said its fine!

I always thought Id be able to cope without drinking and ill be fine but theres always that time after you work all you want is a cold beer! plus when everyone else is partying you wanna join in! as much as ill get a high off coke (coca cola!!) therell be times i just wana drink!
just sounds so risky, one beer and i could be sent home!!

You've gotta realise the risk involved..Its not as if you can just walk around vista way with a beer in your hand if your under 21..

If you chose to drink you've gotta be careful about it and realise the what will happen if you get caught..You'll be straight off back home..

Its just whether you really want to take that risk or not and whether you think it would be really worth it if you get caught..

I really hope I have nice roomates who don't want to drink in the apartment :-\ Although surely the best thing to do would be to get everyone together, tell them to stop it, and if they didn't then everyone who wasn't drinking 'tell' on them- that way you've given them a warning and only the person who deserves to get termed is, saving everyone else's asses... Harsh but fair?

Although I guess not everyone would want to tell so it's never going to work so ideally... Meh, I'd better not get sent home for someone else being selfish!
