Guys it's really not that big of a deal. Like, what's another 14 dollars?
Most internships aren't paid anyways. I actually like this better, since I was driving down anyways. It's easier for Disney this way, so they don't have to deal with extra information like flight times and stuff.
Plus, they're not going to baby you through getting to work. You've gotta take a bus and then a shuttle in some places. If you can't handle a taxi to Vista, don't go.
MCO is a very very very easy airport to deal with, it's not at all complicated like London and Montreal and stuff.
Tiffany Town Car is 75$ for up to 7 people including luggage and a much nicer fit than a taxi. Plus, the Mears bus is not that expensive and just like the magical express bus for when you're on vacation.
Like I said, most internships aren't paid. We're soooooo lucky to have this chance to go work at Disney World and get paid for it too! Up to 3500 dollars for a plane ticket and you're going to complain about a 14 dollar bus cost? Relaxxx!

yea $14 isnt that much and it will be quicker than waiting for the disney bus to arrive and take you...

Also if there are a few of you you can take a taxi. this is what i did goign to the airport and it cost about $7 each. We had about 7 people and 14 suitcases, and there was room for more suitcases in the back if there were more people.

Yep apparently everyone checks in at Vista and then you find out where you're staying, but I only found that out today. Kinda lucky cos I was just going to go straight to the Commons.

It will be interesting. I am up for whatever adventure. Plus I still have like 7 months to wait so by the time I go hopefully people will know what is going on and the best ways of getting there. My friend leaves May 6th, and has never been there before so I hope she finds everything ok.

Im pissed about this. Its such a relief to have someone there who knows what is going on and helping you.. especially since a ton of us have never been in that airport.

im sure i'll get over it, but i just read the email like 3 minutes ago.

hey I just got the email too. I don't think it'll be too bad Orlando airport is surprisingly easy to navigate as someone else mentioned. And really all you have to do is ask if you're unsure about anything. People who work there are a great source for information.

I know it probably is not fun thinking about arriving there by yourself without anyone meeting you but you will be fine. The airport is not too hard to navigate. Like someone else said, the people working at MCO are very friendly and helpful, do not hesitate to ask someone if you are unsure. If you do decide to take the Mears Shuttle they are very easy to find, down on the bottom level right beside the Magical Express. There are Disney CM's all over the place working the Magical Express Bus Desk and loading lanes - they would also be very helpful to you if you had questions. I think its a big mistake to stop that service to you - it was also great for us parents to know that you would be met when you got there and didn't have to find your own way. Once some people do it and post about their experience on here I think everyone will feel better. I feel bad about how much longer this may take for everyone once arriving and then having to go to Vista Way - after a day of travel and lugging all of your heavy suitcases it would be nice if you didn't have to make that stop on the way to your complex. I still think that it would be really good if there was a Disney rep that was at the airport for all of you to check in with - they could answer your questions and point you in the right direction for transportation - that would take a lot of worry away, and it would still be cutting out the transport part for Disney.

Like I have said before just make it a point to ask someone for directions and to communicate with the folks that are leaving the same day as you.

As Mom-eh said, it takes a long time for some of us to get there. For us Norwegians it sometimes takes more than 20hours to travel. It's one thing for me that's been there before and know the airport. But for others that's never been there before it's not very fun to find their way in a foreign place after traveling for so long.

    Hi Guys,

I'm a December 2nd person so have a while to think about what I'm going to do I know. Don't worry about getting to Vista, the easiest option is probably the Mears bus service that Yummy suggested, as others have said it's only $14 (£7) and they will take you straight to the door, along with loads of room for luggage.

Having said that, I'm personally considering hiring a car straight from the airport for a couple of days, maybe the first week. That way I'll have a car to drive straight to housing from the airport and also I can use it to ship people to Walmart! I know this is more expensive than the $14 bus but I personally don't mind paying it if it means easier travel for the first week.
