Jealous of all you lucky monkeys going to Disney regardless, as my parents have basically said "we'll come out to Disney if you get on the ICP otherwise, we are going by ourseleves without you or your sister". I'm pretty sure that shouldn't be legal!

Ha don't be jealous :p I have nothing to do with my parents anymore cos I moved out when I was 17. So if I wanna go on holiday I have to save all year for it, so you can do it too :p It's easy when you have a goal you just get all your money boxes ready and fill them. I have a Toy Story one that I put £2 pound coins in, it's guna pay for getting to my ICP interview if i get one =P

& ur parents might just be lying to make u not think ur going, i can't imagine they'd choose to go there alone lol x

My parents stopped paying for me ages ago!
Once my sister hit 18, so did I in their eyes lol.
That last time i went, I paid for both me and my mum. Saving is easy once you put your mind to it.
My granny always tells me to save £2 coins and 20p coins. You'll not miss them!

Oh man, I feel like a spoilt child now! Although to be fair I do pay for everything as much as I can and it would be me paying for the ICP if I was fortunate enough to go, so don't get me wrong, I'm not an entire money leech :p
I'll follow your in your footsteps though and stop whinging and start saving every penny :)

I'm the same, I feel bad asking my parents to pay for things. I work while I'm at Uni so Im planning on saving as much as I can, they said they would fill in the gaps if I need them to. I save all the loose change I have in my purse at the end of every week and put it in a tin. I have £10 worth of 2p's and 1p's!! If I dont get through to the ICP then I doubt I will be going to Disney World next year, I broke up with my long term boyfriend recently and I dont know anyone else that would go with me. My friends will be at Uni for another year and my family aren't really America people. Maybe we could be ICP rejects and go together!!! Haha.

Im literally counting down the days until we get the email about presentations. Good Luck to everyone!! ;D

lol i'm definitely up for a meet up if we all end up over there at the same time though :p And I'm going to Vegas in November for a week and it's cost me around 3 grand :/ I can't help but feel I should have gone to Disney! lol Last time I went to Disney it cost me less than that for 4 weeks! aww nvm tho ey theres always next year! & we should all save together :p The goal would be around £1700 for 3 weeks i'd say :) & £2 coins are the best things to save, my tiny money box holds £80 worth and it's full atm yay, I refuse to spend them when i'm in town and a shop assistant gives me a £2 coin I put it away lol x

This is a crazy blog post I wrote ages ago about how much of a mental saver I am lol

I have waay too many money boxes but I can't help it! And I have an ISA where I put £60 a month in to save for Florida next year and £100 a month in to pay off my overdraft. XD This is why I never have any money to actually go out with.. =']

That's impressive, I think saving up in money pots is a great idea. I have a terramundi but refuse to use it cause it's so pretty haha

I may have to investigate in getting one of these money boxes, it may help me to actually start building up a decent amount of dosh from change. Normally, I just try to impose a limit on my cash account, i.e. there's a certain amount that I refuse to go under, but I feel more measures will need to be taken.
You guys have so much willpower, especially you Piglet, please lend me some!
As for an ICP reject (that sounds so harsh!) Disney World meet-up, I'd be game. Fingers crossed, it won't come to that though and we will all by meeting up as successful ICPers :)

Should I be fortunate enough to get a pre-selection interview, I'd be game for a wee pre-selection get together. It would be nice to put faces to on-line computer identities :)
Oh, and well done Briar Rose on your DCL start-date. You must be excited!

When they say "regional", does anyone know how many pre-selection events they have? I know was previously a phone interview for the ICP-ers, but anyone who's applied for the CRP might be able to jump in here...

Well someone from the CRP from Scotland had to fly down to London for hers..
So I dont know. But since they interview in Universities and stuff for the ICP they could do events in more that one place.
If they do, Im guessing like one in Scotland, one in Wales, One in North England, one in the South and one in London for the East/South East.
That just a wild guess though.

For the CRP they did one day in Manchester at a uni, then one day in London with a morning and an afternoon session. They tell you which one you get, but if its a big problem then you can ask to swap to another time

Thanks everyone :D I've got a really cool audition coming up for the Madagascar Live show at Chessington World of Adventures that will tie in nicely with when I need to leave for DCL. The audition is for Julian the Lemur as well, so that's hilarious 8)
And to what you've all said above, they'll probably just do north and south England, no? Like DLP do with their auditions? Dunno.
