I love how Americans and Canadians say they wanna goto Europe, we never say that here! Not because we're already here, but because it's such a vast area of tens of countries that couldn't be more different. It's such a broad statement lol! Just sounds funny to me :

I think it's because any given country in Europe is extremely cultured to us. And, to be fair, most European countries have been around years longer than Canada, so they really do have a lot more culture to work with.

Alternatively, what I love about Australia is that they are still a relatively new culture.

Second point: One country in Europe is the same size of one of Canada's smaller provinces. So, it's like, if I asked someone asked someone who lived in Portugal if they go to the Ukraine often, land mass wise, it closer than when I say I'm from Canada and you guys are all "I've been to Vancouver!", since I'm waaaaayyyy on the east coast XD

Anyway, hope that helps clear things up for you, a bit at least?

I know what you mean though. Your point on land mass, if someone asks me if I go to *insert city* in England, it's not strange because obviously we're tiny in comparison and probably often do visit other cities with relative ease. So I just suppose we're used to that and forget the vast majority of other countries in the world are far larger when we go to ask others he same question haha :-X

Hahahhaha, us wacky North Americans

Like, my hometown is smack dab in the middle of two cities in my province, each about 45 minutes away by car. (Alternatively, the town my uni is in is also smack dab in the middle of two cities, each about 15 minutes away), but they're pretty small cities in the scheme of the entire country. My university is about 3-4 hours away from Halifax, the only city with one day's driving distance that any of you may have heard of.

Comparatively, I'm sure you've spoken to tourists who have heard of London, and maybe one other place like Manchester or Liverpool, but no where else. It's like that for all of Canada, pretty well. We all have at least one city the rest of Canada has heard of XD But for non-domestic tourists, it seems to be Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Montreal are the only Canadian cities that exist XD

Haha that's so true! But how much of Canada do you know? I could meet anyone from anywhere in the England and I would be able to point out on a map roughly where there town or county is (providing the town isn't minute obviously!)

That's like me asking you how much of Europe and part of Asia you know!

I know where every province is located, and where at least two cities are. I know the ones I've visited best, of course (NB, PEI, NS and Ontario). Plus, keep in mind, I can do that with NB and NS completely, and they're about the same size (give or take) of England. You could fit At least 4 Englands in BC XD

omg havent been on this in weeks! Been snowed under with uni work :'( ive never been to ANY disneylands or disneyworlds!!!! just couldn't afford it as I'm from a family of 6! I am planning on going for 2-3 weeks next august with my boyfriend though, been saving up for ages! And plus if i manage to get on ICP! cant believe applications for UK close tomorrow! Yikes!!

 

If you're on the ICP, you'll already be there in August

One thing I've just noticed with the Yummy Jobs application part of the website, is when I goto 'years in the hospitality industry' in my application, it shows me 0. Which is weird because I always click the number 3 then save, but when I go back it reverts back to 0. Anyone else have this problem?

Yeah I have that problem too. Its been like that for years, but i noticed someone asked them on facebook and they replied saying that they will be able to see how many years you have put when you applied.. it jus changes back when you click edit..

Hey guys, not been on here in a whiley! Regarding the whole what Disneys have you been to, I've been extremely fortunate to have visited WDW, Disneyland Anaheim and Disneyland Paris (cause I don't come off sounding v. spoilt there...) but I must say, WDW definitely takes the cake for me so to work there would be such a dream as I imagine it is for all you guys too.
Aw man, regarding area of expertise I put Merchandise! I think I was so distracted by what areas I could work in, I didn't really put the area I work in at the moment which is retail. Of all the mistakes I could have made, hopefully that won't be too detrimental and I suppose merchandise:retail, tomato:tamato. It will be clear from my CV (hopefully!) that retail is my current home.
I'm pretty sure it's October 1st we hear back, which doubled up with the The Mentalist Season 5 Premiere, will mean a very sleepless Sunday night for me Can't believe it is less than a week! So many fingers crossed for us all and good luck for your application dudette, get it in pronto

 

I put merchandise, as well, since I wouldn't really consider the stuff we sell at a gas station "retail"
