Pluto was named just a year after the planet Pluto was discovered and named. In earlier cartoons he was named Rover, or had no name at all.

Since September of 1991, Disney World Resort has hosted nearly 15,000 weddings, and now hosts over 2,300 nuptials every year!

Disney owned a channel we used to get in the UK called abc1 and they took it off the air. i loved that channel, it was the best channel i had because at that time i did not have the disney channel. I want them to bring the channel back.

Along the theme of restaurants I can't remember if I've posted this or not, but Le Cellier (the restaurant in the Canadian Pavillion) is the #1 restaurant in the World Showcase and the #2 restaurant in the Walt Disney World Resort. It apparently beats out Cinderella's Royal Table and is only surpassed by Victoria and Albert's in the Grand Floridian!

I'll agree with that...the food is amazing! Chedder cheese soup is remarkable...who'd have thought??

i dont know if i am remembering this entirely right but the carousel of progress was one, if the frist rides Walt designed himself.

abc1 was good apart from all the ruddy ad breaks!!

michael eisner and his son were the first to ride splash mountain, they came off compeltely soaked and michael told designers that riders needed to be more dry to fully enjoy the ride, so they changed the boat design to what we see today.

Ye the breaks were annoying but at least you got to see the majority of the programme without a break.

I dont mind getting wet on water rides, it is more fun i feel because you try to not get wet, hehe.
I remember when my whole family went on the king rapids at AK and when we went down the slide my auntie got a massive wave on her head and she was the only one who got wet on the ride, well, she got absolutely drenched.

LOL, i came off the ride in stitches, i could not stop laughing for the next hour. She had to buy a new t-shirt and through the other one out.

how funny is it when everyone scrambles to get the dry seat on the river rapid rides. it just mean a bigger person sat there before! I love it because i'm one of those doing it too, pushing grannies over to try and get a palce where i'll stay dry. I've often considered climbing into the waterproof pockets in the middle just to be sure. one time on splash mountain everyone stayed dry, but for some reason a wave popped up on my side and pooled in my lap. unpleasant! plus i had dodgy water marks all day since the rest of me was dry.

Awww, you should wear one of the awesome disney ponchos. We had bought them last year but we did not bring them home, we left them in the villa, so i did not get to keep my poncho. I have never gotten wet on Splash Mountain. You cannot get a dry seat on King Rapids because it spins and so it could be anyone or everyone that gets wet.

splash mountain is awesome at night, ridden at the back..you really dont see that briar patch coming!

i LOVE water rides and getting wet, its fantastic. on splash mountain you dont tend to get wet at the back...though you get soaked at the front!!!!

the only rpaids i know in AK are kali river rapids...which you always get soaked on if the raft is full :D:D:D

Incredibily I have never ride the Kali River Rapids.

I dont like getting soaked, and get to dry urself in the
    Florida weather, is terrible.

But probably I will ride when I get back to work at Disney ;)
