Yeah, that makes sense...what about people who don't have strong accents though? I went for 3 months speaking with an Amercian accent and my fellow CM's refused to believe I was from England!

So do you acquire the accent through time or do you have to talk with an accent?

How do you mean? I can just put an american accent on....but I did learn it from all those years of going to Disney! It sounds really fake here, but blends in well in the US hehe. It takes a couple of days for me to warm it up as well

Ye i can imagine, i had to do a whole musical with an American accent, that was great. we had to do it for three nights. It sounded very authentic said the majority of the audience.

    Hey guys!!!

Just saw Mickey, Donald and Goofy at the Little Mermaid.
    jajajaja it was fun.

    Well, talking about the accent.
I know Mary Poppins and Alice have got to fake the british accent, if they are american.
But, sometimes it doesnt here quite rite.

    Robb :D

well alot of americans can't really tell a british accent when they hear one...they think australian, south african etc. are all "british accents" lol. I'm from Canada and I can tell the difference cuz my mum's british and I've been to England so many times I can even tell the difference b/w ppls accents from different counties.

Anyways does anyone else notice the little mistakes in Disney movies like in the Little Mermaid when Ariel climbs up onto the wedding ship and it clearly shows she's not wearing shoes when Ursulas shell necklace breaks open at her feet...then in the next scene omg she's wearing shoes!! haha I notice little things like that in most things I watch. There's tons more I just can't think of them now :D

A South African accent in my opinion is more American. I know a couple of people from South Africa, that is how i know.

Does it really matter if you can tell the difference between accents or not, i always found my accent annoying because its strong and bold and everyone can here you, supposedly, either that i am just loud?

    Wow I'm being requested....sweet!

So seeing as some of us are applying for the CRP...here are some facts about the UK pavilion!

    a) The pavilion represents four time periods, from Tudor to Victorian.

    b) A replica of Hampton Court Palace is featured, along with Anne Hataway's thatched cottage, Hyde Park, Yorkshire & Regency buildings.

    c) The Rose and Crown bears the Latin motto 'Otium Cum Dignitate' ('Leisure with dignity').

    d) The thatched roofs in the United Kingdom pavilion are actually made out of plastic broom bristles because real thatch would be a fire hazard.

    e) "The Rose and Crown Dining Room and Pub" in the United kingdom pavilion in World Showcase has a specially designed ale warmer can heat your Guinness to 13°C (55°F), the temperature favored by many fans of the dark ale.

    f) Be sure to take some time and walk through the beautiful Butterfly and Knot Herb garden located in the spectacular United Kingdom pavilion behind the Tea Caddy shop. The plants located in the garden were specifically chosen as they attract butterflies. It also contains a chrysalis box, where butterfly cocoons are sheltered until they are ready to take flight. Also be sure to check out the hedge maze located nearby!

    With thanks to DisneyWorldTrivia.com!

I have actually been to the Rose and Crown pub in London. It was so much fun to see that there was an actual pub with that name :D
