Yeah i think u realise nowheres perfect - and when people respond so well to your accent and are so welcoming like in the states, its kindof cool - not many places u can go where people are like aww its so cool ur from england - probably why i love america so much.
Tho in France when i said i was english it was such a different reaction... once imet some guys and when i said i was english they were like we love david beckham we love how he kicks the ball like this - and they did an impression of david beckham missing the penalty kick!

Yeah i had to laugh at those guys!

Yeah on my exchange year everyday for the entire year someone would be like ohmigosh i love your accent where are you from? More often than that they thought i was australian - i blame movies for that one as they mostly use londoners - so i guess maybe they assume all of us sound like that! Was funny i used to have to allow 10 minutes at wal mart checkout or id miss my bus - cos they were asking so many questions both the checkout people and the people in the queue! In my classes when i spoke people would turn round and stare particularly the first class.
My friends are like u must get so annoyed - but so longs they dont just stare (then im thinking of gosh is something on my face!) i thought it made me feel more welcome - and i got lots of free drinks cos of it too of bar tenders!

At least they cant make that mistake next year when we're at work! Or lets hope not - i'll have to be like yeah thats right of course im australian working in the UK pavillion!

Last year i got mistaken for australian more than i got asked if i was english! Also got mistaken for being german, swedish and Welsh. The american guy who asked if i was welsh seemed very proud of himself for that guess!

Yeah hope it works for us in the bars in florida!

    Hey Gals and Guys,

Hey Sara and Zanitta: Thanks for telling me what bank holidays are!!
Thanks a lot, u know i had always wondered what they meant.
as my calendars have always got those days written at the actual date.
Hey u know, I have always pretend to have Brit accent, but I don't know how
I do, but it is way smarter to think and talk on this accent
because it is the original English.
Hey gal, waht are u going to do if someone (American) at the pavillion asks u what lannguage are u speaking??
I have read some have actually get this question....

    Anyway
    See ya
    Robb ;D
