I've had a look and there's 2 tiers of annual pass that are actually worth considering. Considering that it costs $100 a day for both parks at the gates i think these are good prices

    Preferred Pass $199 £130

365 day access to both Universal and IOA
Discount on themed events like Halloween Horror Nights
25% off day admission to Wet and Wild
10% - 15% off regular ticket admission to Universal and IOA
10% off Food and Merchandise at most outlets (excluding Coin machines and carts)
plus a few other minor perks

    Premier Pass $279 £184

365 day access to both Universal and IOA
Free off peak admission to themed events like Halloween Horror Nights (Sunday - Thursday)
10% - 15% off Regular ticket admission to Universal and IOA
15% off food at most Outlets
20% off Merchandise at most Outlets
Free Admission to to Citywalk Clubs
Free Express Queuing ticket after 4pm
8 Free bottles of water a year
    Free Car Parking and Valet
    Few other discounts

Considering that i want to go to Halloween Horror Nights which costs $50 alone, i may as well for the more expensive ticket. Plus the discounts are as good as what we're getting for working at Disney

lee do you know how much magic season tickets would be? i'd imagine quite expensive, but it could be worth it, looking at their busy schedule! although as long as i get to go to one magic game, one bucs game and one gators game i'll be reeeeeeally happy :D

    gators' season tickets anyone? heh

Well Orlando Magic Season tickets are out the window. lol Starting price is around $1200 up to around $5000 depending on where you want to sit  A single game will cost around $70 for a decent enough seat, so i'll be happy with that. Split the cab fare or someone drives too and we'll be fine. I'd like to go to at least 1 game a month during playing season.

I'm probably going to get the Universal Premier Ticket for $279. I won't get any other annual passes but if someone else does then they're able to get single day discount for the rest of us just like Universal. If anyone doesn't get an annual pass for Universal then they only need to go with one of us who does and they'll get 15% off.

Not sure if the ABC cinema has an annual pass like Cineworld cinemas have over here?

It's all about helping each other saving money ;D

I've decided that i'm not going to get a car out there so that saves a lot of dosh. Food depends on who i'm living with and sharing costs but i reckon i can live on $50 a week

Can anyone think of any other costs? How much are we roughly looking to earn in a week after rent and all that?

Dude, sit in the cheap seats. I paid $20 for a game when I went in march & sat up in the gods gave me a great view of the court & everything that was going on. They offered me a season ticket for $150 for 30 games (yes, $5 a game!) in the same seat but I would have missed most of the games by the time I arrive & there is no guarantee of getting the night off work.

Dude, that's cheaper than watching Forest even with my fake NUS card! It's even cheaper than watching AFC Telford and they're non-league!

I've just listened to a Disney podcast and apparently Disney give all cast members 50% off merchandise over the christmas period. I never knew this and apparently because of the difficult economic times they've extended it to the end of this month for current cast members to get people spending.

Good to keep in mind :)

I would die to get Gator Season tickets... (i saw someone post a link to them) But I doubt it would be worth it as no Garuntee of work. But I do plan to attend at least one game! On the golf note I am excited at the prospect of cheap golf! I will teach anyone who wants to learn haha. I will also go to any sporting events that peoplew ill join me at! NFL, NHL, NBA no baseball though couldnt sit through that lol. And college sports Basketball and Football! March Madness anyone?

    It was 40% for christmas/new year 2007..

We got a complimentary pass aswell, to get our family in over the christmas and new year period..Was so good, because you could even use it in the sports store at downtown disney, meaning you got like 40% off football shirts etc..Which is alot if you've ever been in there!

  17. No we have to get fast passes like the rest of the guests. The Disney passes act as entrance tickets and are used to get the fast passes.

Correct me if I'm wrong but summer ICP's get 6, those there for the year get 12 per calendar year. It comes in the form of a credit card sized plastic blue maingate pass. The pass can be used 6 or 12 times for up to three other people each time so in effect max 36 entries for others. Its calculated per date of use - even if only one person visits with you it uses up one of your 6 or 12 days. You must enter with the other people in your party and are responsible for their behaviour, so if your family were there and you had to work that day they may be unable to get into the park that day if it clashed with your shift.

You cannot try to sell the free entry days to others (some stupid people have tried and faced the consequences). There are blackout dates during peak seasons and these vary by park e.g. MK was off limits for the whole of August last year I think. You yourself can go on any date using your Disney ID even during peak season (though perhaps blocked out on 4th July and Christmas day at MK?). It can also be used in the other disney parks worldwide during your employment (except Tokyo Disneyland resort) and its been commented that these visits may not get recorded as one of your days due to the different computer systems, and thus free extras.

Long time cast members who have been with the company for years eventually earn a silver maingate pass allowing unlimited entries each year for up to three others each day excluding blackout dates as a perk of their loyalty.

  20. you can get people in if you go up to the main gate and do it that way. On our last day we let someone in using our pass, the guy just had to see it.
