You will eat out a lot, or get pizzas etc, but no worries if you want to cook your own food-you are not for from Walmart of Publix or other big supermarkets.

Honestly though, especially being in Food and Bev, you can eat loads and you will still loose weight-active work, long days, hot weather, equals a lot of physical activity-i myself lost 3 stone, and i was only 13 to start with, and i never one ate what you would call a diet-come to think of it, i dont know a single person who went home heavier than they were when they arrived

what i found when i went to Florida for a holiday was that because i was so busy i wouldn't really eat that much. We would have a massive breakfast at like Sizzlers or Dennys and be so stuffed that we would only have a snack at dinner time and that would be in for the day.

Although to be fair i went for 3 weeks and near the end of my holiday i got used to the sizes of the meals and ate a lot more. Hope that doesn't happen again. :-X lol.

thing is wioth working there is it soon becomes your life and not a holiday-so you will think nothing of ordering a pizza at 1 in the morning or stopping off at TGIs or a 24 hrs Perkins after finished work at 10.30-11 o clock at night.

Also, you have some pretty hefty discounts in Disney restaurants, so you will want to use them.

As i say, wouldnt worry too much-i lost three stone and i ate like a pig for an entire year, its a very active job, and in the floirda heat you sweat off a lot of the weight :)

So, if you work in QS Food and Beverage, do you get food? Like leftovers at the end of shifts etc?

Not as a rule of thumb-sometimes if the chef is feeling geneous, they will give you the scraps, but most days you have to endure the horror of seeing it get thrown into the bin-i know its awful, and it may not be like that now, seeing as ive been home a year, and in that time, the head chef has left/been replaced by someone different(the head chef of the Rose and Crown when i was there wasnt a very nice man).

Its all to do with the mood of the chef really-i do know that when i was there they started to allow people on all day shifts to buy something for their lunch, as they were working a long day-dont know if thats still the case.

Epcot has a pretty decent staff canteen though which is a lot cheaper and quite often higher quality than the stuff out on the park. Its called Odyssey-it was famous for its pizzas lol

If you are working in the Rose and Crown, thats unlikely, as its British food-and from my memory i dont event think u could get a pizza in the Italian pavillions restaurant ???

Pinocchios in MK and the outdoor stand in Liberty Square both serve pizza.

You only get food in QS if the manager OKs it - if they catch you eating food without permission you'll be fired.

One time we got choc ices as we closed on time - I have no idea where my co-ordinator and manager got them from!
    Good times...

One day we got apple crisps... mmmm! :)

You can only buy food from the restuarant though if you are not in costume - you can't buy anything when you are in costume onstage - you can from the backstage canteens!

Also - Sofi, only the CRPs are in the Rose and Crown!

Oh i thought you were doing the CRP programme-if your not you definately wont be as the pavillions on the world showcase are reserved for the CRP programme.

Its not embarassing to say your working there though-its the most popular night time restaurant in the park and lots of money availiable for working there

our managers let us buy food and take it upstairs, in costume-obviously we had to get someone else to process it on their number, but yea, we didnt have to go and get changed and get seated in the restuarnat-as long as we paid and it wasnt busy, we could just order it in the kitchen and take it upstairs to the office.

Naturally we didnt order our lunch from a POS in front of guests though

    We just had nice managers

We had to order it in the restuarant (I was QS in MK), but we could eat it backstage in the break room.
We were busy though being QS in MK!
I don't think anyone did around 4th July though - far too busy in the restuarant, couldn't gaurantee being served in time!
Our managers were really nice though - our area manager less so...

Well, the Rose and Crown was a table service restaurant which made it even stranger-youd have people sat upstairs eating a full meal lol.

Like you though, at busy times we wouldnt even dare ask-partly because at busy times like july 4th we we too busy to take a break lol.

Its the busy times like new years eve where the kitchen is almost guartuneed to put on some food for you at the end of the shift-mainly because most of you on busy holiday events will have been working 12+ hours with no timwe for a break
