Juan...I applied in February last year....so it will be nearly 2 years when we go from time of application to arrival hehe!! So I completely understand what you mean about having to wait!!....I have been ever so patient though...

Tracey I have a link which I will send you which is where we can get our medical insurance for the first 3/4 months...it's not that great but it's bookable in $ so it might be cool to have a look over.

Steph - sorry to hear your friend got stuck in that traffic jam....hehe I only have 3 weeks until I hand my notice in and only 7 weeks left at work....I can't wait to be finished there!!

This is all seeming very real all of a sudden....not long and we will get our visa stuff guys!! (well us UK peeps anyway!)

i wasnt wait that long... had the interview end of march... applied this february i think...
and since theay wasnt tell me when to go to Orlando, i got the call for my departure date mid september.. since that i started to wait a bit

Hello Everybody...I`m beggining another day of work! But thank god its friday hehe.....

KristyLouise: February last year? I would`ve gone insane!

Hamina: I also had my interview in March....I guess this means I`m a little bit impatient hahahahaha.

Everyone: So here they are...my 2 arrival mates! Ale and MArtin...there´s 32 states in Mexico, 12 people were chosen for the December 5th arrival group....and 3 of them are not only from the same state, but also from the same city! Pretty cool huh?

 

Very cool Juan!! Pretty much like here....there are 4 people all who live about 10-20 mins from me...which is lovely

I didn't have my f2f until March this year due to a lot of unforseen circumstances but Yummy (who recruit for the UK) were amazing about everything...and I wouldn't have changed anything otherwise I would not have met the amazing people I have!

Also I had university to keep me busy ...I graduate in 2 weeks which is kinda scary hehe....hey if you have MSN add me:

hey folks,
yeah maby i should have waited until i had finished Uni but this is for my placement and i couldnt have thot of a better place to do it than Disney World, im not a very patient person hehe. Its gona be tough for me tho I've got to do 4 exams while I'm over there so i wont be able to properly party untill after January, i think im a bit of an exception in this case! I should have really gone in september but i think there was a bit of a mix up, my Uni has been really great with it all though so thats why im able to do this.

Kirsty thats great your having a party with Steph my parents are arranging an early christmas for me with all my family and friends, their so sweet. Congrats on the graduation!!

Hope everyones great i cant believe how fast its going its under 2months now!!!!!!

Hey...if theres one thing I know for sure right now...is taht EVERYTHING happens for a reason...Yes at elast for me its been a long year, probably the worst year ever but! theres so many things ive learned...that i wouldnt trade it at all.

So even if we are in the uni or out of it, or leaving cold weather or familys....or anything I think we are all arriving at the right place at hte same time!

DISNEY is but 2 months AWAY now!! Getting PRETTY excited!! I have been the the park now about 3 times and LOVE IT each time I go!! I am the "OLDER" person in the Canadian CREW going down......although I have DONE my fair share of partying.......I am NOT DEAD YET!! I REALLY look forward to meeting up with my friends that I have met through the boards here....WICKED QUEENY you had BETTER save some time for your CANADIAN SISTA!!

As Juan, Ale and Martin we are all from Mexico and part of the same arrivals group. But, I'm from another city: Monterrey.

I'm so excited you guys, I can't believe that in just 2 more months we are going to Orlando!!!!!!!! ;D And also a bit scared because I have 0 savings, jajaja. I'll figure something out...

Right now for living I`m working as my father`s friend assistant haha got it? Wich means...I get to sit in my office...doing everything and nothing....most of the time I just surf on the internet and they pay me 4 that!!

Im a marketing consultant but since I got the offer I left my old job, mooved for a couple of weeks to Puerto Vallarta.....a small city in Mexico near Guadalajara with a beach!!! 8) Looooves it!

Then I came back home and my father got me this job....pretty random but Its better than doing nothing...especially since all my friends are getting real jobs and that does not leave them enough time to hang out....

 

yeah i agree with that too Juan - everything does happens for a reaon, its a bit surreal sometimes though when you think about it.
Im studying Tourism and Events did some spanish (not that you could tell, iv tried but im not very good!!) and Entrepreneurship too im really enjoying it. would love to be a student and go on placements forever though!! ;D
iv got a feeling its going to be a really great year, roll on Dec 5th!!

is everyone organised in what they are taking with them i really dont know where to start!! help please !!!

hey carla... im not organized... ill not take much with me i think... my clothes yes... mostly summer stuff ...
But somebody said i will need some warmer clothes too...
Im not sure though

All the paper stuff i ve collected in a student thing.. dunno the english word for it right now...
Today i canceled my mobile phone contract for that year... this is one of the small things i nearly forgot lol

Do anybody have ideas for such little stuff u have to organize but often forget???

 

Hey Carla...

Your course pretty much sums up a lot of what I did in my first year at university...I love travel and tourism...did it at GCSE - fab course to do....have no idea how I ended up studying theology and Religious studies though hehe!!

Bring a range of clothes I guess...some trouser and light jumpers as well as skirts, tops, shorts etc....for us it will probably feel really warm coming from our cold winter...but I think it can get chilly in the evening!

Carla don't worry....you will get everything sorted...what have you done paperwork wise so far??

I am totally ready...however I love to be organised...If someone would pay me to organise things I'd be in heaven hehe

All I have brought are jeans and short skirts and TONS of t-shirts!! I have some hooded fleece tops to keep me warm and I will bring a LEATHER JACKET as well, for those CHILLY nights!! I have CANADIAN FLEECE as well!! Other then that, I have TONS of Canadian stuff....photos and stuff..........

SO bloody excited I CANNOT WAIT and although the time is blasting by quickly, I would LOVE to get there to start the journey NOW!!

I do have a wee visit home planned for the end of November so I can visit my MAN and the friends before I go....Jeff has it down to a countdown for my arrival and I CAN'T WAIT to see him!!

I can't wait to go down!! Seriously, its getting closer and I feel like I haven't done anything to prepare. All I can't wait to do is to quit my job!!
