December 2nd Crowd Update

I'm holding my visa in my hand right now.... no turning back. AHHHH!!

I'm definately starting packing next week.... starting the last minute shopping today along with my xmas shopping for this year and birthday presents for the entire year i'm away.... i like too think i'm organised.

18 dayssss!!

 

I cant believe how time is going. I am so excited. I spent the past week going to visit people from around town who I know. Today I am heading up north to visit my Grandma and Aunt who were actually the ones who talked me into applying for this. That is going to be lots of fun cause they are Disney Crazy. They gave me a really nice Mickey blanket to bring with me. So it will be nice to see them.

I have been feeling sick though. Guess it is good to get it out of the way. Hope the worst comes before I leave so I can be feeling better when I get there. My worst fear was getting sick on the first day.

I am all ready at this point other then packing and cleaning up my room. I plan to do most of that next week. I am so excited that it is almost here. This last week really flew by for me. Cant believe soon we will be saying 2 weeks.

 

I really hope you have a present for me as well Rachel! I really deserve one after your lack of knowledge about Norway
But i hope you kept study, cause we dont want another questionable comment about Norway

I am in Oslo visiting friends and getting prepared for the embassy meeting on monday! I actually think i did something wrong with the papers. *But maybe they will ignore it if i just smile and try to look really handsome. Only one way to find out!

 

Holy mother of all that is Disney...................

2 weeks on Monday baby! Hehe this is exciting stuff. Although it feels weird at the moment, I feel like I'm just getting ready for a holiday, not to actually go and live over there!

It's my Leaving Party tomorrow - lots of us dressing up as Disney characters which will be awesome. Is anyone else having a party?

 

Sebastian.... I've been none stop studying norway, dont you worry! I've been studying it that much you won't be able too tell I'm from England...except maybe from maybe a slight twang of a English accent.

I'm having a leaving night out the Saturday continued to the Sunday before we go. No doubt I'll still be hungover on the tues we arrive. I'm struggling too find a short Belle dress though...there all the long style and i cant really go out in that....i'm clumsy enough as it is!!

Nikki.... I'm going through the whole sickness thing aswel and last minute nerves. Hopefully I'll leave them behind at the airport. If not it's going too be one long flight.

tomorrow night. hired a room at a pub I used to go too. It holds 40. Ive counted 70 people going lol.

Hope your feeing better soon Rachel it wont be a really good flight being nervous. I am getting the nerves thing really bad. Every night. During the day I am on cloud nine but every night I am in panic mode. I keep worrying about the rooms more then I should. Who I will be with, will I be able to sleep and all that kind of stuff.

I had a surprise party today. No one told me then my parents took me to the bar and suddenly people started showing up and I was like "What?" Why would these people be here. And then I found out it was a surprise "Moving to Disney Party." Which is good cause most of my friends who did not show up to this one probably wont show up to the one I planned so I might cancel it and just say that was my moving party. And yesterday I went to see my Grandma and Aunt who go to Disney each year. They love it. And they gave me my early birthday present of my start of my American Money collection and lots of Disney and Canadian and some just plain clothes. I got a really cute one of Winnie the Pooh looking at a real tiger and it says "Tigger, is that you?" I just loved it.

Anyway how is everyone else's parties going. Hope to see some pictures up on facebook. Cant believe it is almost two weeks away. Hope I am feeling better by then. I am worried I got some stomach bleeding. I am going to see the doctor next week hopefully. Hopefully it is not bad. I am on pills that help for ulcers so if it is something like that hopefully they can just be cleared up before I get down there.

Tonight was my leaving party!!!

I had a ball. I feel sad to leave behind all those people i know. But, at the same time so excited!!

It feels (for me) a bit like dying. And being reborn.

leomgray: Not at all. You should certainly have a going away party. It may be for a shorter amount of time that your gone. But I am sure your friends at home will still miss you and at times you will miss them. So certainly have a going away party.

citywalk: I feel EXACTLY the same way. It feels like your really entering a whole new life. And really, we are. It is a life changing experience. Our old selves are dieing and making way for our new selves. It is weird to think some of those people I wont see again till after I know what this is all about. Have been a Disney Cast Member for several months. It is weird.

Sebastian: Lol. Well at least you had a good time it sounds. And are feeling better today.

Well I am back to cleaning my room more today. And blasting Disney Music. We got tons of snow last night at my going away party. I love it. But for those coming from out of town I worried about their adventures home. But everyone got back home safe so it is all good. It was Thunder Snow. Which I have only seen once before. It was like crazy with lightning though compared to the first time I saw it. Wish I could get a video cause it was something I would have liked to have remembered.

 

Hahaha sebastian... you nutter! Putting your drunk posts on here nearly made me laugh as much as i made you laugh with my lack on norway knowledge!!

I've just said a few of my first goodbyes and had a sudden "i dont want too go anymore" moment! Lets hope that passes.

Hey Guys!

I also had my leaving party on Saturday...funny pics are on Facebook so feel free to look and have a giggle. We all dressed up as Disney characters, one of my friends even made a Wall-E costume from scratch which looked amazing but sadly couldn't wear it out as the paint all chipped of when he went to put it on!! I'm glad you had fun at your do's.

Rach - I'm like you, my best friends from Uni came up for my party (with lots of presents!) and I found it so hard to say goodbye to them when they left.

The good news is, as my very laid back boyfriend keeps telling me, that it is only a year that we will be away from people. Just think how quickly time has passed for us to get here!

Anyway, how goes the packing? I started a packing thread and there are a few tips on what to take etc. My suitcases are coming out of the attic this evening as I want to be pretty much packed by next week so that I can spend time with friends/family without rushing around sorting stuff out.

Oh and I must do a little celebration because I know that for a lot of us this is our LAST WEEK OF WORK before flying to Florida!!! Wooooooooooop

Thought it was about time i posted.

My leaving party is on the Saturday before we go away. I am dreading this Friday and Saturday cuz it is my last day at work and it's my christmas dinner. ahhhhhh!!! i think there will be alot of tears!!

Sam & Kirsty just giving you a little heads up, i am a very emotional person so i will probs be i a state when i meet you in Gatwick. Can't wait to meet you.

Oh i dont think i could handle a leaving party the weekend before i go...My hangovers just get worse and worse every year! I dont think people would be able to understand what i say.

Im excited about my leaving party this sat, but so paranoid im going to catch that damn bug going around! Ive eaten so many oranges i think im starting to look like one!

Nykki, thats so sweet that your family suprised you like that! Im so bad at keeping suprises..well ok i can do it but its very hard,even when i buy presents i really wanna tell them! I would love to see a snow storm..Obviously somehwere where i couldnt get stuck in it! I havent seen snow yet this year and i dont think im going to before i go

Soo happy that i can get Baileys! May haveto buy it here tho as now the dollor so CRAP it maybe cheaper at the airport! I feel we have been robbed bythe dollor..So annoying to think it was 2.0 last year and now 1.43...Pooooo!

Dont worry Claire i think I will b a mess too.UIs three can console each other! I iwll have the Kleenex ready! Im sure Ill try and think of some stuipid dance to embarras myself.that always cheers people up! Must get your number so we can all meet before we board!
