Dates everyone wants to go

yeah, don't know how much uni i could miss. a week would be fine (did it last year!), but 5 might be pushing it with dissertation! unless i could arrange to maybe do some at the start of september instead...
it's kind of moot tho, unless i get in!

wow I haven't been on here in so long!!

I'd have to go on the 21st, and even then I'm not sure I can go. I need to fit a 3 week dig in somewhere next summer, and all of the uni digs finish on the 26th :-( So I might have to wait until next year. Booo!!!

Awww that sucks. I'm lucky, in my first year so hoping I can get around it if there are any exams and they need me to go earlier lol.

 

I'm looking for a dig I could do over the Easter holiday because I get about 5 weeks then. If I can't go to Disney I'm hoping to go to Honduras, but that's something I could do anytime so I would much rather go to Disney.

 

whats Honduras? You must come to Disney, would it help if we came on the dig and helped you complete it faster so you could go to disney. Oh wait! are they any digs happening in Florida?

 

June 2nd, definately! Late enough that all my exams should be done (hopefully!) and back early enough that I can get ready for doing a masters... if that's what I do... eep!

The reason I would go to Honduras is because I'm hoping to specialise in MesoAmerical archaeology, and USF run a 6 week dig there with a really good training program. BUT I WANT TO GO TO DISNEY!!! And these boards aren't helping, because now I've been talking to all of you I want to meet you! I don't know what I can do though. My exams might not finish until June 5th, so there isn't enough time to fit a 3 week dig in before the 21st. Somebody help!!

I'm scared to ask the head of archaeology, coz he is very scary and I know he'll say term doesn't finish until June 26th so i can't go. Pfft. I am very annoyed. And the fact that I'm still awake at 5am isn't helping.

Now dont worry about it, if you are not able to make it then just come the following year but you could still go out for a holiday. So is there no guarantee your exams will go on until june 5th?

Where is Honduras?

 

Central America, and I would really love to go. I'm booked on a family holiday for 3 weeks to Florida on August 25th so that would keep me happy if I don't do the program.

My exams may finish before June 5th, but I know last year the Archaeology exams went right up to the last day, and I'm not sure when I'll find out. Guess I'll just have to wait and see
