Customers tip

the bar is hard to get into!! there is only 10 of us that are bar trained out of everyone however they are starting to cross train some of the servers now as well! but last night the bar was rammed and there were 4 of us on - thats enough people in the bar as there isnt enough space for more really but some nigths there are more some there are less.

Next thing you know, there is going to be a sign up list for seats on the night kelly is working. you guys play nice

 

oh yes. maybe we should put our names down at once!?! Just to be sure...

 

saying that tho - there are regular guesta that come into our bar and restaurant that only want to be served by certain people - they will even wait longer for those people if they are busy, i have alot of regulars in the bar.

 

Haha, good idea, we can travel as a pack to be sure we get in! If anyone gives us any trouble, just point to your elbows and introduce them to lefty and righty

Meerim, what part of norway are you from?

 

i'm from Toensberg. That is 1 hour drive south of the capital, Oslo. In the south-west part of norway. I'm gonna miss my city a lot. I love it!!!

 

Kelly:- how do you get to be picked to train in the bar

 

im born in the same town as meerim but live on the other side, haugesund the city is called..

i think we should were big posters with Kellys name and have pongpongs

 

i dont no - the managers watch u from day one, they put people into service and into the bar based on work performance etc, always on time, never calling in sick, being good with guests, u realy have to earn the right to go into service, so as long as u prove your a hard worker who loves to be there (even when u dont) u will go in.

 

that's fun I've never been over there, so i'm sure i'll pester you with questions about it once I get down there. I'm driving from North Carolina, so feel free to hitch a ride with me [only have a 2 seater, so friends could crush in the back if they want] if we go visit kelly ;D

Re: discount - don't forget that you do indeed get 20% off but as soon as you pull your ID out, the 20 comes off and 18% gratuity gets put back on! So all you really save is 2% off your bill and the tip.

 

true - but at least then you're not paying a tip....and that money goes to your server, so I'm okay with that cuz I would be tipping that amount anyway. It just saves me the math
