god i have just come back from dlrp and thought to my self how much i love DISNEY!!!

think im going a bit mad for the it now!!! lol

 

aahhh now its 2008 wonder when were gonna here from them? has any one heard yet? i knw its a bit early i just really wanna interview!

 

As soon as someone gets an email, we're all gonna be on here worrying why we don't have one yet LOL. They'll email you with a few times and dates so they can call you for a phone interview.... then the real waiting begins!

 

i knw ill be soo excited when some one heres cause then its like aahhh might nearly be my turn!! bet it will be february ill here hehe! so any one does this before??

 

Yup, did it in 2005 (except I didn't have a phone interview, I had two face-to-face interviews instead, at my uni), and in September 2007 (it feels so weird that it's last year now!).

So I've only done one phone interview. It was very good actually. I had one time and they didn't phone me, but then I went on holiday in our caravan and Michelle had emailed me to say it would be the next saturday, but obviously I didn't get that email, so the phone call was out of the blue! But Jason and I had a really nice chat about my last program and what I did and stuff... I really enjoyed it!

 

when everyone says that its really informal...does that mean its literally just a relxed conversation where I can be myself? Or do I need to put on my phone voice and sound professional. If that makes sense. Because everyone seems to make out you've got to be enthusiastic and fun in the phone interview.

 

Dearie, just be yourself I was so not prepared for my phone interview, and I got offered a face-to-face!

 

aaahhh it snds so scary!!! i wud pee my pants i think havin my phone interview! wud absolute love to get one! wow! so is it easy doing it agen? what program did ya do disney gibbs?? was it good fun??

 

I did the J1A program (the pilot group... I'm not even sure our program exists anymore, though there are similar ones). It's not easy having to go through all the interviews again... they were so different from my first ones... and you never get over the fact that you're interviewing with Disney! I'm in constant awe lol.

The experience is beyond words... anyone who has worked there before will know what I mean! It's really hard to explain to non CM's.

The program was based on the uni degree you were doing. I'm doing tourism and hospitality, so both my work roles reflected that. Hence, we switched roles 3 months in. It was really cool. And yes! there were definitely bad days, you only need to read my blog to see that! I did the program from Feb 2006 to Jan 2007. One year yesterday in fact.

Wow, we were there almost at the exact same time DisneyGibbs! I was there from february 06 until march 07 ;D

 

I'm more than glad I did it! I would do it a million times over lol... and I only missed home 3 times... the two times I was really ill, and after my Mum and brother left the first time they visited.

Im goin august 2008 till august 2009 so thought I'd add a message to this thread cause I'll be there around the same time as you guys and girls are all there.
I was there last summer and absolutely loved it! Cant wait to get back!
At my interview i requested merch and hospitality. And that was what i got.
I also said I'd love to go back to tomorrowland for my merch section - so my fingers are crossed that they listened to that part as well. Kim wrote it down so hopefully...

 

Hey SimmyD, which program are you going on? The Cultural Rep one? I didn't think you could work anywhere other than your country in Epcot if you were going out there for a year?!

Not yet! They may mean the end of January though, so obviously that's not yet LOL. I do wish they'd hurry up though.

 

really??? ahh thts ages january is such a long silly month! hehe if i gt an interview i wont complain!
