i am from the UK :) that sounds brilliant.
i have had a look on the website but it doesn't really tell you much to be honest.
how many hours did you have to work?
is there anything i need to know that they don't tell you?
do you get to go home at christmas by the way?

you dont get to go home for christmas unless you can get the time off...which from what i've heard is nearly impossible around christmas because its such a huge holiday.

ahhh, yeah i thought it would be something like that.
    but you do get holidays?

im not 100% sure, but i think you dont get "holidays" so to speak...you can request time off and its without pay.

you can book vacation time but only after you have worked there for 9months,it is paid. before that point you can only request days off, for example one or two days a week (and these would then be your days off for that week)

if your in F&B your going to be working around 40 -50 hours a week, when the park gets busy you will be on 6 day weeks.

you have no chance of going home for christmas! You cant book any days off over the christmas holiday period at all, you just have to take whatever days off they give you im afraid

its a great job but i will say that its hard work and you have to really put the effort in and actually enjoy what you do, if you dont then your going to end up jacking it in at some point,i saw it happen a lot while i was there.
The life style is great and if you get into a service position you can earn great money in tips but again that all depends on how much effort you put in, basically you get out of it what you put in

there are some pre departure costs that they dont really mention - you have to pay around $100 admin fee, you have to pay for your visa £110 or something like that and you have to go to london (or Belfast) to get it so depending on where you live that may be a bit expensive, then theres the flight over to pay for, medical insurance, criminal background check, spending money etc

what do you do at the moment, have you any preference as to what area you would like to be in (F&B/Merch)?

it does sound like hard work but i'm so up for it!
yeah obviously you would put your all in, it's a once in a life time oportunity!
i think it would be such a good experience and to have that you've worked for disney on your cv is amazing! lol.
do you know what kind of people they are looking for? do they have a preference?
at the moment i work in travel, at thomas cook so i think it would benefit me alot!
i've done bar work in the past and i've worked in retail so i'm pretty much up for anything that they give me!
do you think i have a chance?

i think the most important thing the look for is an out going and upbeat personality and someone who is approachable and friendly - basically someone who can represent what disney stands for as a company.

you have as good a chance as anyone else to be totally honest, it could go either way and hopefully it will be good news :) but dont be upset if you dont get in this time, you can always apply again and there are some people who have applied 3 and 4 times and have only just got in.

hopefully you will hear from them soon!!! keep us updated on how you get on, good luck!! :)

Working at Disney is the hardest job ever especally in f&b 6 day weeks working majority of them as doubles or mids is pretty much expected so if your not comfortable with that merch might be better for you - depends on what you want out there. plenty of people did merch and loved it and plenty did f&b and loved it:D

lifestyle out there is fab tho
