Cleaning the room

Whattt... I just read that there will be inspection in our room..

I like a messy and comfortable room hehehehehehe

Not off the bat they don't... you either need to buy one, or you might get lucky and your roomates might have one. Each has cable, but does not come with the TV.

 

YA! I was like what?!? Then we just wasted $70 buying a TV! So offer sounds better now don't it? ;D

Ya, they have scheduled inspections and surprise inspections. We're lucky we haven't gotten a surprise one yet, we would totally fail!

 

I can survive without TV! I even think it may be good for your overall personal performance.

Besides that, News and news broadcasts are available on the internet AND I can watch Dutch public broadcasting TV shows online. I would say it would be good for me to live without TV.

But if a roommate happens to bring one...party on! But I am not spending any money on a TV while I am there.

I wonder though, when they do their surprise inspections...do they knock on the door or open it with a key and just barge in there???

Tip! Don't do anything to crazy, Big Brother Mickey edition is watching you! ;D

 

Lol as to the inspections, they have a procedure that they must follow.

Along the lines of,

- Knock and wait
- (if no response) knock again and call out inspection
- (if no response) enter apartment and call out inspection
- (if no response) call out again and blow whistle

That darn whistle is soooooooooooooooooooooo loud. I swear I nearly died one time when I was in the shower and they appeared. : ;D

Oh and don't worry, they come back if that happens. Lol.

You must be joking!!! A whistle ! I am perplexed!

Hahahaha ;D I am going to have so much fun! I will laugh my head of when they come in with a whistle! It just sounds so funny. The laughing will die if I won't have my room clean , so I better make sure I can remain with a smile on my face.

Won't tell my mom about it though, don't want to give her any ideas. Hahaha ;D

Though some people may find this something negative...I absolutely love this and it is definately going to be part of my fun Disney experience.

Do they warn you if you have an inspection coming up? When I was in halls of residence in my first year of uni they had to leave us a letter saying when they were planning on checking! I always made sure I was out of my room for a whole week!!

 

Did they blow whistles?? I don't remember...

I just remember when in we had new roomies coming that a cleaning team of at least 6 people hit the aparment and cleaned every single corner, every room and I don't remember what else they cleaned.. 3 1/2hrs!!! and we cleaned the day before so it was not that bad at all.

 

Yup...found it...the Disney Whistle!

They do warn you sometimes, like they'll leave a note or something, but the surprise inspections they don't... or else it wouldn't be a surprise right? As for the cleaning team, they didn't do a very good job in our apartment since there was a dead cockroach in a washroom to welcome us to our new home! :-\

 

Perhaps they left that one as a gauge MATT to see if you clean in there?? ???

I hate roaches! Eeeeeeeeeeew! We were so lucky in my last apartment. I think we only had like 2 the whole year. Now those giant grasshoppers, there's a different story...... : serveral...in the kitchen ...... thanks to one of my roomies' cooking. :-X
