ah ok fair enough. im not even sure if i am doing a postgrad. the uni offers a ma in physical theatre and writing but im not interested in those.
both are very intense. i did first year writing and i dropped that in order to take directing. we have done a few sessions of physical theatre and see the ms performance every year, they are very good but extremly intense. the third years have an eight hour lesson in it every friday. the ma physical theatre students got to meet, rehearse and have lunch with david tennant and patrick stewart. and some of the third year techies turned it down!!! i couldnt believe it.
I wouldnt be at all enthusiastic about going, but lunch with celebrities would be fun i suppose, rather have lunch with denise van outen and john barrowman
john barrowman yes. but i love david tennant and patrick stewart is awesome. we are meant to be taught by him this year as he is chancellor of our unniversity.
professor X in xmen, captain john luc pickard in star trek: the next generation. he does loads of shakespeare.
john barrowman, seriously?! he's such a cheese ball!! I can't stand him, he really really really really annoys me
Patrick Stewart!!! That is sooo cool. We tried to get him involved in some fundraising we did last year at un but our studen union wouldn't let us contact him. You would think they would want us to raise money for a charity such as his but nooo!! We were so annoyed we wanted to get involved in his big ball/dance thing he does every year.
that is so cool! shame you couldnt do it. yeah he is meant ot teach if he can though he is very busy. he lived in huddersfield so it hink that is why he is chancellor. i will be getting my certificate off him when i graduate
I'm guessing you go Huddersfield then? My sister started her first year there a few weeks ago and seems to like it. Seamt a good night out when I went up there a year or so ago.
Sorry to change the topic a little here, but I have a random question for all of you! I'm sure those who have been an attendant or character performer can help answer this question. What would you say to a child if they asked you why the fur characters don't speak? I remember wondering this myself as a child and never getting a proper answer But with my big imagination I would think that some kind of spell was put on them when they were "transported" to WDW so that they couldn't speak lol oh how I miss being that age!!
i went when i was little, i never asked. i dont know why i think i was such in awe that i was there and with the characters. not sure what you would say, im sure there is something in a manual or what not.
I have never met a character whilst been at the parks, people find that amazing, but ive not. That is my goal for next year, to meet all the characters, hehe! I hope i can become one.
