oh right i have heard about that before....can you do it whilst studying a degree or is it jsut after you've finished? and does it have to be a hospitality related degree for both cases?
You can do it as part of your degree (as in the Florida programme will count towards your final degree mark) as long as a) either your university has an agreement with Walt Disney World (accredited unis are listed on the website somewhere but I think at the moment it is only Manchester and Liverpool) or b) you are doing a degree related to hospitality or tourism. In this case I think you apply and Walt Disney World will contact your uni to make the arrangements and decide if they are eligible to do so. Or you can do it after your degree (which is what I have done) and your degree can be in any discipline... does not have to be related to hospitality. I studied music. At present you can only apply up to two years after you have graduated. Hope this helps!
oh ok now i get it! i'm doing a degree in film production, so if i wanted to do that program i'd have to do it after uni...
Yes I'm afraid you would have to do it after uni :-( It's a good choice tho if you are looking to improve your future career prospects and have sum time travelling... kind of kills two birds with one stone!
i was offered to go on the program but am now going on the culutural rep program. couldn't decide which one to go on but as ive decided not go go back to uni that kind of made my decision for me
Each programme has its pros and cons. I guess you have to decide what you want out of it. With the programme at Epcot you get to spend the whole year but you are stuck in one place working. But then the whole experience of living/working abroad is really valued by employers whatever you decide to go on to do. On the college programme it's only six months but there's a wider choice of roles and you could get put in any of the parks or hotels. For me I want to try and build a career with the company or in entertainment management so I thought the hospitality programme would be more beneficial. Of course if you want you are perfectly eligible to have the best of both worlds and do both... or do a summer programme between uni years! I may apply for the cultural programme in the future if I really like it out there and am determined to go back haha.
Did anyone read the sun yesterday?? :-\ only me then!! well they had an onride photo of liam from oasis and nicole and natalie on the dinosoar ride in animal kingdom. They are there at the moment and the rumour is they are going to get married while there.
When i was there this summer, me and my mate got a Photo with Corbin blue after we came off space Mountain, very random, twas hilarious!
Oh dear if I had to serve someone famous I would get so incredibly tongue tied especially in the case of such a person as Johnny Depp or Orlando Bloom. I mean how can you concentrate when you have johnny Depp looking you up and down ....
sorry to change the subject but i am very upset about people meeting johnny depp and i havent anyways it doesnt matter he's going to marry me anyways xxx
Hulk Hogan and his family were here a couple of weeks back... As was Mariah Carey, and Carmen Electra... Some famous basketball and baseball players have also stayed at Disney resorts in the past few weeks. I saw Whoopy Goldberg in Typhoon Lagoon about 3 weeks ago... And I sat at the table next to Sylvester Stallone when I was at Planet Hollywood in Downtown Disney 2 weeks ago.
During the first program I did I saw Joey Fatone and some random basketball player who was apparently just named some sort of MVP. All the guys seemed to be going crazy about him. lol. On my second program, just this past summer, I saw Celine Dion (checked her kid's height), Mehki Phieffer, Oliver from Hannah Montana, Chris Tucker and Vanessa Williams. Ohand Erika Badu (sp?). Michael J. Fox was around at some point but I didn't see him, just his kids. brynna
when i was on a family holiday a couple of years back i was in the magic kingdom same day as Michael J Fox and his family but i didnt see them, i just read about it in an american mag a couple of days later!
