did you get insurance or any type of cover for it? if you did how much was it?
did you have to get a florida driving license?
how much do you think it will cost to run?

im interested in getting a car, but i'll only be there for 6 months so dunno if it would be worth it.

It costs me $98 a month in insurance..Then about $10-$20 Petrol and thats it really..

I didn't have to get a Florida Driving License..I will have only had the car for like just over 3 months by the time I sell it..I would say its been worth every penny..Its even worth it just to be able to get up for work alot later every day and not have to rely on the really unpredictable buses..

If you still need to know..The answer is, Orange Blosson Trail..Or OBT as everyone calls it in florida..Its really close to the Florida Mall..I actually got a bus to the florida mall and then just transfered and got a bus to OBT from there..It only costs like $3 to get there by bus..And obviously, you'd like to hope that on the way back u've got a car so there won't be a problem gettin back..

Other than that you can buy your car from another CP..You obviously save a bit of money if you buy from a CP, but like when I was lookin for a car, its normally alot more hassle, unless someone else in vista, chatham, the commons or patterson has a car for sale i guess..

Is that not where the big car dealers are? or is this a different street, its like a massive multi storey but its a car dealer, chyrsler and jeep i think. I would not be buying a car because i would only be there for the summer and i would not be able to afford it, but i want to hire a car. Im unsure of it because i would be 18/19. If i was hiring would i need to sit a driving test out there or could i use my UK License?

You'd need to be at least 21 to hire a car - and even then premiums for being under 25 are high!

No, i know you can hire at 18, but not at the airport car rental places like dollar.

I'd love to get a car out there it's just the expense of it all. Maybe hiring a car with a couple people would be a good idea cuz everyone could split the price. I know it varies with the type of car and the length of time you rent it but how much is it to hire a car. And has anyone rented one (or know someone who did) and damaged it? How much would that cost you?

I've tried that and when I select a quote and check the details they say: "No drivers under 25". :-[
