I know eh thats the only prob with that!!!

 

One of my roomies in uni was fluent in French, and I asked her once to only speak to me in French to force me to learn.

That lasted about 3 days.

I went crazy! It took me forever to figure out a simple question she was asking me! I'd be like "say it slower!! What does ____ mean? Speak English please!!"

As for greetings, a simple Hello/Bonjour is fairly easy... or you could always just speak english in a french accent... like Lumiere!!

"It is with deepest pride, and greatest pleasure, that we welcome you tonight..." just imagine that with a french accent, lol

 

I think the gist of that meant you just finished your interview with Kristen and that it went very well...?

I really wish I was in french immersion. One day when I have children I hope to sign them up for french immersion.

 

I remember once my parents asked me if I wanted to do that when I was in high school. I pulled the "whyyyyyyyyy do you waaaaaaaaant to toooooooooorture me!?!?!?! isn't English good enough?!?!"

Now I see it would have been a pretty awesome thing to have in the long run! I guess I just like to put up a bit of a fight

 

Yay for French Immersion! So good!

Plus it lets me watch my hockey games on RDS! ;D

 

I kind of failed at learning french so I dropped it after tenth grade i fail at learning languages in general tried learning japanese as well man was that ever nightmarish lol

 

Yeah I took Mandarin for 3 years, and all I can remember from that is how to say "Hi, how are you?" (Ni hao ma?), "I'm very well, and you?" (Wo hen hao, ni ne?), my name (Hua Xian Ning), "Goodbye" (Zaijian), "Thank You" (Xie Xie) and mother/father/brother/sister (mama/baba/gege/sisi). And I think I can count to like... 5... maybe.... lol

Goes to show how quickly one forgets when all I can remember out of 3 years is what I just typed! *doh*

 

Guess who just got a job at Walmart?! ;D

Well nearly. My criminal record check just has to go through.

I start sometime next week, they'll let me know when my criminal record check goes through. I'm so excited. I love Walmart too! And now I can get everything there for ten percent off!

 

man if I keep checking my email and listening for the phone I may develope pyhcological issues lol

 

I have been to Walmart a few times this past week to get storage bins and vacuum space saver bags... apparently one day, they had the NBA championship trophy at the Walmart! I had to look twice, coz I couldn't really believe it... I mean, why in Edmonton?
