Looks like all the people from the UK get exact dates and times for their phone interviews!! How many Canadians now have gotten interviews? I don't think we get set dates and times though...? Just e-mails saying like 'in the next week or so' or whichever. I e-mailed Kristen yesterday I had to give her my new cell... heard back from her within the hour! She sounded really positive said she looked forward to speaking with me in the next few weeks or sooner. I think they're really busy right now with all the UK phone interviews and sorting through all that - so many more people apply from the UK!

So I know most of us are still waiting, but lets keep our chins up! It'll be our time soon enough!!! :D

I'd suspect they're really going to wait until they have all the UK-ers organized before they move on to Canadians. Helps to keep their heads on straight if they're just looking at one big pile rather than several, and just ensure that people don't get lost in the shuffle. If they're contacting people on the other side of the pond for phone interviews right now, they may move on to Canada a bit more within the next week or two.

But then again, I think Matt mentioned that they have an office in the US somewhere, so maybe they'll take over the Canadian phone interviews to cut down on the time difference a bit. Who knows?

yeah it's hard to say, but I think for the most part your right Shan! :)

  4. I think the US office is in Michigan, and I'm thinking Kristen called me from there, since she certainly wasn't British... although that doesn't necessarily mean anything, of course. :p There was a little bit of a delay, though, which was interesting. I wonder why they did some Canadians first, though? Because it isn't just the former ICPers waiting, right?

So hard to say because really, there's such a small number of Canadians actually posting on here! No way of knowing how big the applicant pool is! For all we know, a good bunch of Canucks have been contacted, but we'd be none the wiser.

Best not to dwell on it really, they'll get around to everybody at some point!

  7. That's true. But has nobody even gotten an email concerning phone interviews?I guess it does depend on how many people applied, and the UK gets more applications than Canada, right? Maybe that's why they're doing it in that order.

I e-mailed Kristen yesterday and she said we'd be hearing in a couple weeks still, I think they're really swamped!

Well when my application was sent in, the Yummy email said they would contact (I presume by email at first) within 4-6 weeks. The 4 week mark passed as of yesterday, so we're only *just* now in that contact window that they mentioned. Presuming that a lot of people applied around the same time in July, I guess everybody is really only starting to expect some form of contact now.

  10. Really? It's been four weeks already? Wow. :S Feels like yesterday everybody was sending in their applications!

Ahh well summers even in general always seem to fly by! Blink and you'll miss it! I can't even believe it's already August! And only now we're starting to get warm weather - go figure! haha

    But I shan't complain - at least I'm not needing a parka!

Well I'll need to e-mail Kristen in a couple of weeks to tell her my new number/address, so if we haven't heard anything by then at least we'll get an update from her! :D

  14. And then there'll be barely any West Coasters on here anymore... sigh. If I get face to face I really hope there's one in Vancouver! That would be convenient.

Nah, Matt is always going to be a West-Coaster at heart me thinks. Given that we'll probably be hearing all about how "not cold" the winters are in Toronto. :p

Anyways, on to more random things because this thread isn't allowed to be serious for an extended period of time... :p

    A) I've been feeding a chipmunk and I'm pretty sure he's a fat little guy now. Is there a Weight Watchers program for chipmunks?

    B) I think that Archie is a ningkampoop for choosing Veronica over Betty. Seriously.

    C) I plan on seeking and wearing this hat/helmet/thing the next time I jog. It's pretty sweet!

  16. I almost died laughing at that picture there, Shanan, which is not good as I am at the office. I'm not working, since I STILL HAVE NO JOB -fume-. But thar's internet here. And no internet at home. THEREFORE. I am here.

Speaking of laughter, I feel I must mention that I watched the vlog you guys put up on your blog and the captions down the bottom cracked me up. Well done! -cue applause-

I don't think there's a Weight Watchers, but there MIGHT be a Jenny Craig. I'll check on that. :D

In other news, I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to get a tongue transplant, because I bit it REALLY HARD around half an hour ago and it's still throbbing violently. It might be no good anymore.

Well then you are merely using their internet provider services, and given that you are therefore not working, there is not decrease in work productivity if you laugh! Besides, everybody else will probably be jealous and will want to join in on the laughter too. And then you can organize a laughter parade, which will in turn brighten up everybody's day and in fact increase overall productivity.

Ergo, I am a proud supporter of laughter! *fist pump*

Yeah, we have fun with the vlog (to say the least)! If nothing else, we just have fun laughing at ourselves so if anybody else enjoys it - all the better!!

I'm presently constructing a small chipmunk treadmill. My theory is that I will put the almond at one end and basically make him work for it. But then again, I'll probably just end up feeling bad for the little fella and end up giving him a slice of cake. I'm a bad influence... ::)

Tongues are funny looking things anyway, so 'tis no big loss! Oh, well except for that whole being able to speak and actually taste food thing... hmmz.... well, I vote make a splint for your tongue, wrap some bandages around it, and just be mindful not to poke anybody in the eye with it if they lean in closely to your face. You could even get a case put on it then have people sign it!! haha :D :D

  18. I do believe that a tongue cast would be fantastic. But it wouldn't taste very good.

And when did Archie choose Veronica over Betty? That's AWFUL. :(

Okay, wrap your tongue in those old school Fruit by the Foot things (are those even still around?! lol I'm going back to like grade 4 here), and THEN put the cast on! Everybody's happy!

It was a while ago, I remember reading about it that he was officially choosing Veronica in one of the comic books. Veronica is such a snob! How dare he pick that hussy over Betty! Team Betty! :D

  20. I totally saw Fruit by the Foots the other day in the store! And Dunkaroos! Oh, how I was tempted to buy them... sigh. I remember when I was really little I was afraid to eat Gushers because in all the commericals the kids' heads turned into fruit. I was also afraid of eating anything by Schneiders, because I thought the girl on the package was half a goat (I have NO idea how I came to this conclusion), and I therefore thought that I would turn into half a goat if I ate them.

I was clearly a very strange child.

But that's very upsetting, about Archie. :(
