And also, Chuck Norris just happened to run by my house in a sparkly glittery bright pink unitard. My hands were like 1 foot in dirt though cause I was helping out with yard stuff, so alas, was unable to get my camera. He looked pretty kickass though. Plus there was a small throng of women chasing behind him!

So the UK people have started hearing... perhaps more Canadians next?

 

I know and unfortunately a lot of them are not getting happy news ... but hopefully soon ... I sent mine in 3.5 weeksn ago and they said 4-6 weeks

 

what is this unhappy news they've been hearing??? I don't like the sounds of that at all!

 

I know, it's awful... I'm feeling so bad for everyone on there. I want everyone just to get phone calls... I want everybody to get in! It'll drive me CRAZY if by some miracle I get there and there are UK people there who aren't nearly as devoted as I KNOW these guys who didn't get a phone call are, I will be SERIOUSLY angry.

You should be hearing soon... so should everybody else. I'm really nervous for everybody now. It seems as though it just got a LOT harder, didn't it?

 

As one of the UK people I've done a count... by my reckoning 1/3 of applicants are getting interviews. Little bit crap, but think of the number of people who've applied who aren't on these forums.

 

Thats disheartening, but I'm still going to be as positive as I can. I'm just so nervous b/c I don't understand why some people don't get phone interviews...

 

I know just hopefully despite everthing they won't give up .... and I mean you just need to be the 1/3 that does get a phone interview.

 

Me neither... I count myself lucky, having had one. I think there are less Canadian applicants, too, so that helps.

This is awful. I feel so bad for everyone who didn't get one. Happy for those who did, but it doesn't seem like there are many...

 

and hey you know what? For those of you who havent recieved a phone call, dont fret because this isnt your last chance to work at disney world, think about it. You dont get accepted, so you stay home and work for a year. The following year you reapply, get accepted as as all of the people who got in the first time around are leaving disney world, you'll be just entering... theres a better way of looking at things.

 

That's a good way to look at it.

 

I applied at the start of july, got the 4-6 week email, than a 3 week email. And then Yummy emailed me last week to say that they would be calling in a week and because of my job, don't worry if I miss the phone call. I emailed kristen back, and have set up a good time for a phone interview at the end of aug/start of sept.

Interestingly enough I will be at Walt Disney World the week she will be calling. Which I think is beyond cool.

In one of the emails they said they are still working through all the applications and if I know anyone else that is interested to have them apply.

Just saying there is a lot of time left. Stay patience everyone!

 

You see? Patience is key my fellow disney'ers. Keep busy, the best way to get an email/phone call is to not expect it. Thats what happened to me and i nearly peed myself. Keep holding on guys

 

I've heard in the past that there are many many applicants in the UK. I think it was over 1000 each round. In Canada, for some reason, there aren't as many people applying... I wonder why that is... I think our population is about half of the UK, but there's a much greater discrepancy in applicants than that, from the sounds of it. What's wrong with us Canadians?

 

I don't know, it's weird, isn't it? But I guess it's good for us, hey?

 

yeah I don't know but for some reason I hear of more successful canadians than I do successful uk'ers ... I am not giving up until I haear word either way but I am really starting to freak out a bit with each rejection I hear of in the uk

 

Has any ICP alumnis got a call yet?? I'll start worrying when everyone else has got the call and I still haven't but if we're all waiting still, there is nothing to fret about!

 

As far as I am aware, alumni haven't gotten calls yet. Haha, no need to worry yet Jackie! Or ever! I'm sure we will all get the call!
