Oh I hear you on that one! haha I'm fairly certain jobs don't exist anymore... it's like the lochness monster.... people say they're there... but sooooo hard to find! :D

Yeah, just be forewarned that the relationship between Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and McDreamy (Patrick Dempsey) flip flops sooooooo much and by the end you're screaming for them to just make up their bloody minds! haha Soooo the way it goes. They've done that how many times now in Gossip Girl?! Sheesh! It's like Friends - you always knew Ross and Rachel were going to end up together but nooooo they had to spin in circles for a good 9 seasons there :D meh, guess they gotta keep the drama up somehow!

Anywhoozles, if you do want to check the show out, I'm pretty sure you can watch previous seasons online at ctv.ca. Saves paying the Blockbuster rental fees for half a season at a time!

  3. Sometimes I think the shop people put out hiring signs just so people will get hopeful... Which is NOT very nice, let me tell you! I can't tell you how many places I've applied but noooobody seems to want me.

Well, except Disney, APPARENTLY. :p Hopefully.

I kind of love Gossip Girl. It's definitely one of my guilty pleasures, hahaha!

Yeah, I'll definitely look at it, because it looks really good. I didn't used to like hospital dramas, and then I started watching House, so... yes, I think I'll like it just fine! :)

I have a theory that companies are just putting out wanted ads, and are holding a secret competition amongst themselves to see who gets the most applicants. Whoever wins gets a free donut from Tim Hortons!

haha yeah, House is awesome! I used to watch it much more, but I've missed the last couple of seasons... so you've missed Grey's, I've missed House. I call that a fair trade!

Gossip Girl is most *definitely* a guilty pleasure! Between the clothes, the city, and the dramz, I just eat it up like buttah! :D

    xoxo, gossip girl (loves!)

  5. They are clearly conspiring against us. Maybe it's just you and me. Because my Mum got a job the other day. While I am still jobless... it's lame. And suuuure, she's got "real" work experience, but I have... theatre! Mostly the musical kind! I think that should be considered "real" work experience too. I mean, come on. Dancing. Singing. Costumes. Trying not to laugh when all the people around you are dressed like nuns, and then realizing you're also dressed like a nun...

I do love me some Gossip Girl... and Chuck. He's British in real life! Love that.

haha basically any guy that has an accent, I'm sold! I'm looking at Masters schools, and really, I'm drawn to the schools overseas where the fabulous accents can be found :D Well, and the programs... ::) haha

Yeah, it's like you graduate and employers are like "oh you have a degree, congratulations.... now move along, move along please". I keep a different folder for each job I've applied to... there are a looooooot of folders :D Maybe it's because they know that wherever I end up, I'll be that random person that puts Mickey ears on the computer monitor, and propose mid-afternoon office dance breaks? Tut tut I say, they're missing out!

But ya gotta keep your head up and just keep your ear to the ground for more opportunities! Something will come down the point at some point - it's gotta! :)

I'm a crazy LOST fan myself... I think there must be some sort of disney gene within each of us, we all love the same stuff! However I did enjoy the Scream movies... the first one took me through a bunch of twists and turns, never being sure of who the killer was. Is it Billy or not?? I thought it was well done. And I am also one of those scary movie wimps, I love watching them but i need a blanket and when something scary is about to happen I hide under the blanket and plug my ears - yes plugging the ears helps tremendously :)

Sometimes humming while the ears are plugged just take it up to the next level of horror movie avoidance :D Really, they should have blankets placed in the back of theatre seats for scary movies... I know I would use 'em! A horror movie survival kit! Hmmm... I smell a business opportunity! 8)

From what I remember, the first Scream def freaked me out, I just don't remember much of the storyline unfort! "Helloooooo Sydneeeeeeeeey" <cue the creepy music> Actually the creepy music is what gets me... then movies do that whole fake-out where they'll be playing this suspenseful music as a character is slooooooowly moving around a corner or something - and you're totally expecting something to pop out somewhere and BAM! - It's Fido the dog chasing a cat. Tricky, tricky you movie studios!

As for us all liking the same stuff - chalk it all up to that pixie dust within us! :D So cheese, but I loves!

It'll be a sad day when Lost is dunzo... it's just SO FRIGGIN GOOD! Soooo much happens and soooo many twists and theories... yeah, I'm really going to be mighty impatient for that season to start! :D

Um, so, no sooner do I type this and turn on the tv, and what's on the channel?

    One Missed Call...

MATT! Are you working some crazy voodoo magic to put this movie on my TV?! And now my sister wants to watch it baaaaah! Frick! Frick! Frick!!

I'm going to fight to put Fraggle Rock or something on... I cannot watch this just before I go to sleep! :D What's worse, it's like I can't turn away either... em, no wait, just saw a scary face, I definitely can...

Matt, I'm SO giving you a beat-down! :D Cease you're voodoo magic please?

Muahaha, I have powers I don't even know about! Now if your ringtone magically changed to the one from the movie... that would be hilarious!!!

On the subject of NPH (I know it was a while back), but he was one of the guests who did the Candlelight Processional last year. That would be freakin' amazing!

House is awesome! And I saw the pilot for Glee as well! I was so excited for it because they would have ads for it all the time during American Idol. It looks like it should be really good. But I can't say I've watched too much else on T.V, just don't have the time! Oh and I love heroes, but missed the last season so I'll have to check it out eventually.

  12. NPH is hosting the Emmy's this year! Now, that's totally irrelevant, but that's okay! He also hosted the Tony's this year, and that was just plain awesome...

I wish Glee would be on sooner. It was just so amazing...

If my ring tone changes to the one from the movies, that thing is going in the dumpster asap. Creepy creepy ring tone! Yech. I'm lucky I found leaked preliminary plans for the new Fantasyland before I went to bed, otherwise I wouldn't have slept! :D Gonna be really interesting what they do with it! And Matt, you may be interested to know that Aurora is going to get her own area/ride ;) However, we must start a rebellion because they might get ride of Toon Town!!!! Where will Mickey and the gang live!!?? Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

I was at Disney last winter shortly before Christmas, and got to see Monique Coleman from High School Musical be the narrator - very cool! I checked out the list of the people they have lined up for this year, quite the little list!

    Nov 27-29 Isabella Rossellini
    Nov 30, Dec 1-2 John O’Hurley
    Dec 3-5 Steven Curtis Chapman
    Dec 6-8 Not Yet Available
    Dec 9-11 Andy Garcia
    Dec 12-14 Vanesa Williams
    Dec 15-17 Abigail Breslin
    Dec 18-20 Whoopi Goldberg
    Dec 21-23 Brian Dennehy
    Dec 24-26 Edward James Olmos
Dec 27-30 Angela Bassett & Courtney B Vance

Whoopi Goldberg would be cool to see - though I'd be wanting her to get the choir to break out into Sister Act :D

From what I've heard, Heroes wasn't so hot last year, so I don't think ya missed much Matt - they weren't even sure if they would get picked up again for the fall! Lost even poked some fun at it at this years Comic-Con... http://www.thrfeed.com/2009/07/ending-of-lost-revealed-.html (Make sure to read the set-up for the vid!) Here's hoping they kick it up a notch this year for ya Matty!

As for Glee.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFaSgUMWo_Y Enough said!! ;D

I know eh?! Seriously addicting!! So pumped for it!! :)

  15. Nice they got people who can actually sing... You sometimes see shows where the people can supposedly sing... and they cannot. That always bugs me... :p

Yeah! Like when they were making such a big deal about Katie Holmes singing and dancing on So You Think You Can Dance - can't say I was wowed away by any means. Then again, she's got more guts than I to get up and do that in front of sooo many viewers, so she deserves some props!

Then again, maybe I'm defending her because I know that when her and Tom Crazy, erm... I mean Cruise, stayed in the Cinderella suite in Disney - they actually made the beds the next morning themselves! Most people who just stay in the hotels don't even do that - says somethin' good about 'em me thinks. :)

  17. I didn't see that, but I did hear an awful lot about it... I was feeling kind of bad for Katie after a while, since so many people were ragging on her for it. :p I definitely agree with you that she has to be given props for that, though. It takes a lot of courage to do something like that. I wish more actors and actresses would, actually. I'm always really impressed when I see people performing live, whether it be on TV or on stage... pretty amazing! :) Was she really that bad, though?

That's SO sweet! The staff must have loved that! Oh Tom Cruise... while being crazy, he does seem to be a fairly nice person. Well, I haven't met him, but from what I've seen, anyway. :p

Honestly, I think most people watching likely had the bar set WAY high for her. I mean, here's a show where they have dancers from across the country - the best of the best - and they duke it out every week so only the cream of the crop continue through. Then she performs when I guess it was the top 6 or so left in the competition, so viewers by this point are really accustomed to seeing insane dance moves - a difficult thing to measure against when your primary job lies somewhere between acting and being a mum! I have no idea what kind of training she has, but I doubt it's anywhere near what the contestants have had over the years! In any case, I think she did what she could, and they surrounded her with dancers to do little lifts and what not. I think the main beef that people have is that it was all pre-recorded... but the way it was set up, it was like they were trying to imply that it was, if that makes sense! So I guess a lot of people figure that if they were going to pre-record it anyways, they could have done more, like make the setting different than just a bunch of people on a stage. I do feel bad for her, after all, she was doing it for a charity! And she did a far better job than I ever would, so I don't have much of a right to cast too many stones :D

  19. Mmhm, that makes sense. Sometimes I wish people weren't so critical, though, especially since she was doing it for charity. And I mean, she's probably a very busy lady. She very likely wouldn't have had time to do it live, since that takes a lot more prep than pre-recording it. That she did it at all is impressive to me, and I commend her for trying, at least. :)
