Canadians applying in July 2010

For those who have had a phone interview, let's post here when we get the email letting us know if we got through to the F2F so that everyone knows the time line! Kristin told me that it would be within the next 4 weeks!! Can't wait to hear!!

I have my phone interview with Kristen tomorrow, can't wait!!!

 

how do you know it's tommorrow??? I'll have mine in the next week!!! Nervous but the phone interview is not that bad just be yourself and relax and everything gonna be allright!

 

I heard the same time line too.... it's going to be a LONG 4 weeks

I only know its tomorrow because I had emailed her to ask a question and let her know what days I had off this week, and in her reply she said she would talk to me tomorrow (one of those days off, which now I have to work ) and she also let me know that because I had applied last year and made it to the waitlist (but never got off) my interview would be shorter than it was before.

I had my phone interview last week Tuesday. I was told that I would have to wait 4 weeks to find out about a F2F!

 

Just had my phone interview and i'm still shaking...AHAH

 

just got off the phone with her!! still nervous hahah!! she said she'd contact me in about 4 weeks!

 

actually i have a question now that i hope someone who had recently talked with kristen could answer...
she called on my cell phone so it was sort of hard to hear her at times, but she said that the in person interviews for the july applications would be around october i believe. then she said something about start dates for 2011, does anyone remember if she said people that applied in july would start early 2011 or in the summer of 2011?

 

Katie, as i can remember that was start dates from january trough june 2011... I was on my celle phone too so I mess up a little bit when she ask about the nearest big city next to my home....I made her repeat 2 times AHAH...

 

It all depends on where you go for your face to face interview. For start Dates is what she told me. Like if you interview in the west it is the June start date and if you interview in Toronto it would be January. Or at least that is how it was done last time.

 

I'm not quite sure nammers, it's more depends when you do your interview. If you do the fall interview it's for january trough june and if you do the spring/winter interview is for june trough december. I just hope there is gonna be an interview in Montreal again this year. When I did the face 2 face interview it was in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.... But it certainly depends the number of people living near the big city...

 

so if she said the interviews will be in october, then im guessing start dates would be early 2011?

 

she told me that this application round is going for start dates between february and july and that they are hoping the interviews will be early october rather than late october like last year.

 

Does anyone with previous experience of the application process know how hard it is to get to the face to face interviews? I'm asking because I don't think I had a great phone interview. There were a number of factors, I was on my cellphone and found myself trying very hard just to hear/understand what was being asked, it was also my first phone interview and I found it a lot different than a face to face interview (I couldn't work off their reactions/expressions, gauge their interest on certain topics, etc.) not to mention the fact that I was super excited/nervous. Maybe I'm just second guessing myself, hopefully that's the case, but I'm not sure. Any info would be great, thanks.

 

i have a friend who is at disney right now and she said that shes only heard of one person not making it through to the face to face. so hopefully that means everyone here has a chance!

 

The bulk of the eliminations happen in the resume portion, and then quite a few
between the phone and f2f as well but I had a terrible feeling about my phone interview and I'm in Florida as we
speak so you have nothing to worry about as long as you're somewhat competent.

 

I got an email from Kristen today!! No word as of yet on whether or not I've been selected for f2f interviews but just to let me know they will be taking place in October in Toronto ;D ...looks like it will be for positions starting Jan-July 2011...Should be hearing in 3-4 weeks whether or not I made the cut...fingers crossed!!!!
