Hey Everyone! I have a question for you guys who are heading to Orlando soon for the Cultural Rep Program. Where did you get your health insurance? I've been looking around, but nothing is really jumping out. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

 

I went throught days of calling everyone and their dog about medical insurance lol
But I finally went with RBC insurance that I bought from Thomas Cook Travel Agents
It was $260 CAD for 4 months, and if I want to extend it for a year I just have to renew before my 4 months is up, it's got good coverage and no deductable.

 

Tessa Im really confused, because I went to Thomas Cooke to get that RBC Insurance, but they told me they do not, or have never sold RBC Insurance. After asking another person and getting a quote from them, my insurance was only $130.00. I also checked with Disney and they said they start to cover us on July 1st, so I got my Thomas Cooke MEdical Insurance until a few days after the 1st (just in case). My mom and I asked a million questions about why it was so cheap, but she just said its the best deal and it includes everything, unlimited coverage, no deductable, and you can extend it. They told us you must have added insurance for your flight baggage and cancellation for it to be $260!? Who knows.! ? I went to the Thomas Cooke in Coq center and phoned a few places. I guess I really lucked out!

Anyways thats my insurance story!. I also talked to someone who paid $180 I think through BCAA Travel.

 

are you serious?! I'm totally going into Thomas Cook in the morning to make sure they didn't gip me! That's so wierd!!! Thanks for letting me know though, I'll get to the bottom of it hehe
