haha well there will definitely be some fun and fabulous people out West too - this country is full of 'em! :) We just need to get more people to post on here! :D Maybe at the interviews people should just spread the word about this site, just so more people know of its existence!

The down side of flying across Canada is that it can be sooooo expensive! It's madness really! Just gotta keep an eye out for seat sales and promos!

  2. I'm sure there will be! :)

I know, I looked it up... pretty awful. :(

    But whooooo's excited? :D

    Hey all!

My name is Matt, I'm from Red Deer, Alberta originally, spent the last 6 years in Edmonton and am currently en route moving to Toronto! Haha, but if I got to choose, I'd put Red Deer on my name tag.

I flew to Toronto when I did my interview for the ICP in 2006 and I was living in Edmonton at the time. It was quite the adventure since it was the first time I'd been there. It is kinda exciting traveling to another city for the interview!

Anyway, hope to meet you all soon!

Well I think the idea is to put down the city on your name tag that you know most about, or where you've lived the longest! I'd be super pumped to put down Oakville, ON since in 2006 we didn't get to put down anything at all! Not that I complained of course - getting my name tag on that first day was one of the big things I was looking forward to the most!! The only way people might have asked where I was from is if they picked up on some sort of difference in my accent from an American one. I still don't know how they figure it out - but apparently once you've been living in the U.S. for a bit you really hear it more in terms of the difference in a's and what not. Cool beans I say! Though apparently by the end of the summer in '06 I sounded more "Mid-West"... go fig!

It's kinda awesome that I haven't really seen anybody yet from the same town - so we can even learn a lot about where we're all from! Every place has a little something different to offer - I loves it! :)

Yeah, I like being in Oakville since it's not too far from Toronto, so I get a taste of the city and a taste of suburbia - but one day I want to live in Toronto, even if it's only for a little while! Just to really soak up every part of the city!
