Yes, I am a big fan of the convenience! My cousins are pretty cute...my cousin was a chef in Cinderella's castle, and he met his wife who was a Safari Truck Driver from South Africa. He spent a couple of years there with her, and now they are back in Canada. As for me, I will be as free as a bird....come April...after I graduate. I don't think I could go back to school after an experience like Disney! Are you still in school? What's going on in Durham?
Nah not in school anymore, went to Carleton in Ottawa in 2005 for a year, but then left, wasnt sure what I wanted to do yet, So Ive been working since then, but then plan to go back to schol after Disney. Nothing major going on in Durham, just working and hanging out, and looking forward to my Disney trip, Im going friday for a week!

It will be fun thinking you might be living there at some point over the next year. I would love to go, but we are heading to Vegas the end of February (It will either be my pick-up from the downer of not getting in, or the celebration for getting in to Disney. ) Not sure if anyone got the message before, LOL. Just wanted to quickly ask is anyone up for planning a get together the night before or after? And is everyone planning on staying in Toronto? I have a place to stay just outside but just wondering what everyone else's plans are as the day comes closer. Thought maybe if a bunch of us are in the same building we could maybe get together before the interview. So now that I am finally going I thought I would see what everyones plans are.

Have an awesome trip. Your so lucky. But I am sure it will help the next week go by fast. Let us know when your back how it was. Anyway I was thinking, I can possibly find a place that is close to where our interview is if people were planning on being their the night before we could go have supper so we could all meet and talk Disney and such. That will just make us that much more comfortable with each other when the interview is on. And lets us get to meet each other better then we will during the interview. How many people are planning on being in Toronto in the evening on the 1st? (And when they say be prepared to stay all day? how late is that. That way we can plan for the people who have their interview that day too.)
When I went to my interview in Calgary, if you are coming in from somewhere that was quite the travel for you then you get the choice to get and early interview. I was out and done with the interview by 12. But I would say be prepared to be there till like 5ish. But i guess it all depends on how many people they are interviewing.
I'll be in toronto the evening of the first!! I am trying for the cp-- So far there doesn't seem to be very many people, I'm def liking my chances! But i'd be totally up for a get together!

First there is Casey's its really close near by on the corner of Jarvis and Dundas http://www.caseysgrillbar.com/ The Keg Steak House on the same street but a bit further north http://en.kegsteakhouse.com/locations/Ontario/Toronto/Mansion_Keg Than there is the old spaghetti factory, which I believe is unique to Toronto. Its further south than the hotel but its near to Union station (I'm sure most of you need to go there anyway) http://www.oldspaghettifactory.net/home.html I am trying to choose agreeable places the first two especially have a variety of stuff unlike some indian food or japanese food that some people might not like. If there are any other suggestions please let us know but we are mostly just looking for somewhere to go thats close by and that everyone can agree on I hope to see you guys there!!! Krystal

I didn't really have a phone interview just a nice little chat b/c I've done the program before and I've met Eric a few times....it actually didn't occour to me until I hung up that it may have been an interview....whoops. Anywho, I'm going to the interviews on Feb. 2nd and hoping for a position in F&B (which I did in 2004 as well). I fly into Toronto on the First as well, Arrive at 5:05pm. Not sure when anyone else is arriving in Toronto. Though the air port is pretty big so not sure if we could actually plan to meet anywhere in there. But it would be funny if we were landing near each other and never know it. LOL. I am actually worried about reservations. Anyone ever planned a get together before for this, anyone who has been to the interview before. Did anyone make any reservations? Or should we just basically plan on something simple like Timmies, or all meeting in front of The Grand Hotel (Where our interview is) and then taking a walk together to find a place nearby that has room? LOL. Anyway just thought I would ask before I head out. 18 more days till the interview itself. It sounds better then looking at the calender and seeing it is like just less then 3 weeks away. I hate looking at the calender right now. LOL. EDIT: I got thinking, I have been paided a little extra then I expected from work so I was thinking of staying in Toronto. In anyone searching did anyone find some good hotels. Ok, so it sounds to me like people who are interviewing on the 1st and people who are interviewing on the 2nd will all be in town the night of the 1st-- do we want to go out for a (late) dinner on the 1st?? It's hard to say exactly what time the interviews on the 1st will be done though, as the presentation starts at 3... maybe all of us can just leave together after the last interview and hook up with the crp people from there? what do you guys think? this'll also let the people interviewing on the second chat with those who have already completed their interviews!
What about 7pm we plan something. That should work for everyone right? Or 7:30pm but a lot of people might be getting hungry by then. I would say we could do like a 9pm thing but the problem with is those of us who have to be up early on the 2nd. What does everyone think. And as for where, I don't know the neighborhood but maybe in front of the hotel the interview is at. That way also we all know where it is for the next day, and those in the interview just have to walk out the door. Or is it more difficult then that?
I'm SO excited! I just found out I'll be going to the Feb 2nd interview in Toronto! I was a little scared because I checked their web page in the summer and it said to apply in January, then when I checked January 1st it said that interviews were the beginning of February! I was so scared I missed it! Hope to see you all there! <3 Jenn
Hey angeljenn3. I was in the same position sort of. I was told it would be in January and went to the website in December just to look and saw it it was moved sooner. Glad you got in though. It certainly makes your heart stop when you see that website when you weren't expecting it.
Hey people if your not sure about hotels just message me! I worl for intercontinenal otels which is holiday inns etc, so i am more then happy to help anyone out! I know the grand hotel is a little expensive.

There is a good YouTube Video for Canadians and their costumes. Just go to Youtube and type this in the search and it will be the only video that is their. Called Canadians Danceing. It is my favourite Youtube video. Festival Canada EPCOT Lion Commons King As for pictures... I can look and see if I can find some for you. If your are able to see the video though it will show both the f&b and the Merch costumes.
