I got on to do attraction in Aug 08 for the year. Which is super good for me because i am all about talking to people and talking in front of big crowds, you generally making a fool out of myself
I was wondering is anyone planning on staying in a hotel for the Toronto ones. I am probably going to have to get one cause I would hate to wake up that morning and have bad weather to drive in all the way up there. I was wondering what other peoples plans are or what anyone else hand in mind who is going to Toronto. If we were going to all try to get together the night before and go out for supper so we could all meet before hand. Maybe I am too early with making plans like this. I am just way to excited.

Hello everyone! I'm hoping to get an interview in Toronto for September 2008. I've been e-mailing Eric for the last year about working at Disney, and he told me to submit my application in January (this was back in October this year). Though right now I am having a slight heart attack since everyone on this board seems to have an interview date already, but considering it's Christmas today I doubt he will be reading my resume even if I did send it in this very moment. You can bet January 1st my resume will be in. Hopefully I can meet people at the T.O. interviews. Good luck to everyone!
Yeah normally the interviews are later, but they're the first week of february now. I'd say send in your resume (I think they're back in the office January 7th) and give Eric a call.
Just keep sending him emails. I sent him so many and my persistence paid off I'm heading to Florida to work in August.
ya the last interview I got said that he was out of the office til the 4th, which is a friday, so I assume he won't actually be back til the 7th (monday).The last email I got on the 23rd also asked me for my phone number and when a good time to reach me was, so hopefully this means I'll get my phone interview really soon?! I start classes again on the 7th, but you can bet i'll be sitting on the aisle with my cell phone clutched in my hand, hoping to get the call and run out of class!!
Yeah when i got the phone call I was sitting in class waiting for the phone call and it rang and I ran so fast out of the classroom. My instructor thought I was on drugs. lol.
Alright, were down to one more month of waiting for the interview, (which will lead to more waiting after the interview) There still doesnt seem like that many people going... I though there would be more people on the site. Does anyone have a rough idea of when you would be asked to go down if you pass the interview? Would it be in the fall sometime or is after next Christmas more likely? Any thoughts?
When I had my face to face interview, they ask you when you would want your start date to be. And you just jot it down, and I got my start date.
I heard we would be going between March and September sometime. I personaly would like end of May or early June. But I am self employed so as long as I know a month before I should be fine with any time. I am so excited though. But my best aventrure ended yesterday. Now that I am home from dog sledding, I dont really care about my birthday THAT much, I am now back to being focused on the interview again. Counting down the days.
Well...I sent my resume in, January 1st! So hopefully I'll hear from Eric next week. He told me that for East Coast interviews, expect to be hired between September to December. So I am hoping for September because I have jobs lined up in the summer....but nothing after that. For everyone else who's waiting to hear...good luck...hope we hear something soon!
Hey everyone! I faxed Eric my application around the 28th, but when I called I was told he'd be out of the office until the 7th. SO! I emailed him this morning, he replied and asked for another copy of my resume, and just called me this afternoon! He asked me about why i wanted to work there, what qualities I would bring to the staff.. easy stuff like that! So I'll be seeing you in Toronto on the 1st! Excited!
ohhh congrats-- ur experience sounds like mine, (I had to resend my resume too) except I haven't got a phone call! I really hope I get one soon, I'm going crazy

Thanks! I'm going to school at McMaster in Hamilton. I am going to crash at my cousin's place, he met his wife while working at Disney in 2000, they live in Toronto so it should be pretty convenient. My mom still worries that the streets are dangerous, so she's happy that I have my cousin to take me to the interview lol
That is pretty convinient eh? Thats cool how they met at Disney! So are you taking a year off from school to do the program?
