Hi, I'm just looking for some clarity as to what program to apply for. I'm a Canadian University student and I have from May - August to work but I'm really interested in working at the Canadian Pavilion. Is there a program that allows me to do this? Thanks!
Hey, The CRP is one year. And if you apply and go into CRP you must do it for one year. Though there is just a summer program. But then you don't get to work at the Canadian Pavilion.
Like Jenn said, the CRP Canadian Program where you work in the Pavilion is only available for one year periods. But you can apply for the ICP program which takes place between the months of May-August as summer employment. If you work for under the ICP program you could be working in any park/resort/well pretty much anywhere except world showcase in Epcot.
Plus you can always go back and do the CRP once you've finished University and it gives you an opportunity to work in a different area! The ICP is a great program!
Great, thanks for the information! One last question - What kind of jobs are made available to ICP employees and how do they establish what your job is? I have a background in theatre and am currently studying theatre design at school, any chance there is a compatible job? If all this information is available somewheres else and I'm just be annoying feel free to direct me Thanks Canadians!
Basically any entry level job. It can be in attractions, food and beverage, merchandise, custodial. You can be at any park, resort or even Downtown Disney. When you go to your interview, they should ask you what your preference would be. Once you've selected that though, you can't really request a specific location, so it is up to chance. But I think it is a great experience no matter where you end up!
I wish they had an ICP program that was like for a year, that would be fun! But the CRP is going to be AWESOME!!
