Soooo soooooo sooooooo worth it! Trust me. Working at Disney will be the best rollercoaster you've ever been on. The highs will be so intensely high, there will be the occasional low (homesickness etc) but the experience will be something that you will never, ever forget. You can get so much out of the opportunity, whether it be through extra things at Disney, going to parks, travelling in the US (or abroad), becoming debt free, riding the tower of terror 56 times in one day...you'll love it! And the day you get accepted to the program you'll forget about all the application waiting. And the day you arrive at Vista Way, find out where you're living and move in, you'll forget all about waiting for your arrival date to arrive!
No news yet, it's been two weeks for me, half way there! And that post was awesome Kate, thanks! Definitely got me excited again! What is F&B like? I want to do it, but have zero serving experience, but have worked in an ice cream shop for two years....

MY TATTOO I know the one on my neck is a bit harder to hide but my hair are quite long and I'm sure I'll find something! ahahah! Anyway! I have a feeling maybe it's tomorrow! We'll see !
That is soooooo cool!!! If I ever got a tattoo it would likely be Disney related, but I think I'd chicken out haha! Maybe a tiny hidden Mickey somewhere...

Yup! It will be exactly three weeks since I applied in... just over 3 hours! Haha I'm still going strong, but getting pretty nervous because that means we SHOULD hear this week... fingers crossed for everyone!!

I highly doubt that anyone is going to receive an e-mail until after the deadline for applications finishes , meaning sometime after August 31st .
Food and beverage is awesome!!! I didn't have any serving experience before my first contract and they teach you everything. Disney has the most amazing training ever. Once you become a server you also make some mad cash which is nice for paying off debt or travelling or saving or whatever you want to do with it. You just have to be motivated to work hard and learn I had friends in attractions and merchandise who loved those also though!! Go with whichever you are more into, however food and beverage does need a ton more people than merch/attractions - just be open to everything There are some people who get down there and realize they don't like what they're in and sometimes they're allowed to switch/trade with someone! I'm so excited for you guys!! It's such a long process but it's so, so worth it! You'll meet some incredible people on here, as well as on facebook, and throughout the interviews (yummyjobs eventually starts an email chain for all the applicants who want to join) and then you'll get to go down and actually hang out in the parks together!
Thanks Kate! I really hope we get to work together in the near future When I submitted my application, the email from Yummy said that I would hear from them in the next 4 weeks. Is that true or is it an auto reply email? Just wondering if I should be checking my email like crazy this week (week 4), or wait until after the deadline?
