Haha definitely! I can't imagine what it's going to be like after the F2F, every time my phone went off I would jump 10 feet in the air lol
You'll see pretty fast and the wait will be as terrible as right now ahahah! Congrats for your phone interview How many time do you have to wait until you get an email?
Glad to hear I'm not alone. I was last there in March and am dying to go back. I'm trying to figure out if I could even go down for a long weekend this fall. I don't think it's going to happen... My parents are heading down in November. They are taking their RV and staying at Fort Wilderness. My mom is so excited and I am trying to be a good daughter and tell her the tricks and tips (but secretly I am so Jealous! ahhhh!)
Oh my gosh, I was doing the same thing! With the seat sale at Air Canada/West Jet right now I was trying to figure out if I could go right after my birthday (next Saturday), but my boyfriend and I don't have the money BAH! I want to go soooooo badly..... How about start dates? When do you all want to start CRP? I told Kristen that I would go tomorrow if they wanted me to! I just graduated from University and don't have full time work, so my schedule is super flexible
I just can't enough time off work, I would totally try and rework my budget so I could go. I still have some not for sale passes from when I worked on the ship - I think they will just be passed off to my parents for now. I have said I would go whenever as well. My sister's wedding is in May 2012 - I have been told by a few people that have done the program before that I should have no problem getting a few days off for it. It makes me a little nervous of course, if I were to have a start date before the wedding because I do not want to miss my sister's wedding!
Yeah, I've heard that you can request to have two back to back weekends which would give you 4 days off. One of the benefits of being from Canada! We can fly home pretty easily if we need to And I'm sure there's a way to swap shifts if you don't get the 4 days off, I know I'd help you out if we were both down there
Thanks! I really am not too worried about it - there are a couple options to book days off or give away shifts. Being on the cruise ship - I missed a lot of family stuff (Christmas/holidays, reunions, and 2 funerals - which was my choice in the end) but I am not missing my sister's wedding! What dept. is everyone hoping to get? I really don't care which one (I just want to be there!). I think I would prefer F&B from what I've heard from people that have done the program.
I was just thinking about that! I have no idea which I would prefer, I have a bit of experience in F&B (not as a server though), I was interested in both merch & attractions but have heard that they're harder to get into... In my phone interview I said I'd be happy wherever, F&B sounds like a lot of fun but I think I'd feel nervous about being a server!
I've heard that too. I would probably prefer attractions but the money in F&B and more positions makes that more attractive. Not that I am doing this for the money by any means but it doesn't hurt. It seems like in the past F&B people get placed quicker. I've never been a server but I'm not too worried about it. I feel like if you have good customer service you should be good (and Disney really wipes you into good customer service shape). I think the only thing I'm scared off is dropping dishes etc.
haha that's what I would be scared of too! Or having a whole tray of drinks or something :\ I've worked at an ice cream shop for the past three years, so that's really taught me a lot about customer service, so I'm not worried about that, it's literally just dropping plates and drinks!
We only have 4 days off? Humm! This makes me wondering like we have tickets for our family but they can't use it if we're not in the park with them? But we only have 4 days? Humm!
They said I will know within 2-4 weeks! (which is 2-4 weeks too long if you're asking me). Does anyone know how it works with diversity across Canada? For example, will they try to have an even number of people representing each province?
I think I heard that most people are from either Ontario or BC. Although I could be wrong. Still waiting to do my phone interview in October. I feel like I'm the only one now.
Well fellow Canadians, I heard back and I am through to the next round! It was quicker than expected (2-4 weeks was actually 2 days), I'm thinking probably because I worked for DCL? not sure, but I am excited!
Hey y'all I've been lurking for a while but just thought I'd put it out there... I got an e-mail yesterday to be F2F interviewed in November! I'm from PEI & Quebec just finished university, bilingual. I have a cousin that's doing the CRP right now and her sister went to Disneyworld as a Wish Kid. Waiting to hear on dates for the interviews but I love Montreal so hopefully I'll get to be there for a couple days. If anyone wants to hang out at the time let me know
Congrats on making it to the F2F in Montreal. I am super excited, can't wait to meet all of you and hopefully work with all of you down at WDW.
