haha, maybe they know what we are doing and are waiting for the perfect moment to call!

 

Hey guys,

I got called off of the waitlist on friday...I'll be going down to do F&B on March 9th! I am STOKED!!!! I wasn't in Chapters unfortunately, but Kristen called me like 5 minutes before I had to leave for work...I was so late for work...but it was WELL worth it!!!

 

congrats! That is still very exciting! You don't have much time till you leave though!!

Lucky you don't have to wait long too! I mean, sure it's a bit crazy I bet trying to get organized, but at least you're spare having to wait a while I feel like I'm arriving light years after everybody else (May 4), yeesh. But hey, always worth the wait! Gives me more time to doodle Disney characters to decorate my walls with anyways! haha

 

I feel your grief Shanan... May 4th is ages away! I can't put up with my job here much longer lol. Not to mention our poopy weather. I wanna get my tan on!!!

 

After I found out I was coming to Disney I wanted to quit my job right then and there! I did last Saturday ad was the best feeling ever. "Sorry but I wont be able to work here anymore. I`m moving to Florida to work for the Mouse!!" hahahaha

 

Looks like we have some cool things to look forward to this summer...

WDW did a big announcement for their "Summer Nightastic", which is really just them bringing back some old classics for a short period of time, but exciting none the less! Starting in June, they're bringing back the Main Street Electrical Parade (w/a couple new floats), and replacing Wishes with Magic, Music and Mayhem (used to be the fireworks show shown only in the Pirate and Princess party, and from what I hear, is supposed to be reaaaaaally good!). Wishes will be back in the Fall though, ditto for Spectro. Otherwise I'd have some strong words to say...

They're also adding new effects to Tower of Terror and a new drop sequence (great, if that attraction didn't creep me out enough before...). And they're getting ready to revamp Illuminations soon. Add some construction of the new Fantasyland into the mix, and we've got quite a few changes comin' our way! Some changes have already been made to old Fantasyland, so it'll be cool to see

That does sound very cool. But I don't like the tower of terror. When I was little I had a panic attack waiting in line. I still wont go on it to this day. Though I like the rocken roller coaster!!

 

I have a love/hate relationship with Tower of Terror. No matter how many times I ride it, it still creeps me out and I'm always going to scream. In the library I'm always looking for the bell hop... just to make sure they don't try to come up behind me or something (especially since I used to do that at the Haunted Mansion... Would hate a taste of my own medicine!). I love the thrill of it though, plus the theming is so well done! After all, they filmed that random Kirsten Dunst ToT movie in there

Rock n' Roller is suuuuper fun! "Wait a minute... I loooove that idea!" Oh Steven Tyler.... even though I guess technically he's been booted out of Aerosmith now...

 

I love how creepy it is. If I could I would just walk through it then not go on the ride lol. Oh the Haunted Mansion probably one of my favourites. I bet it was fun working there!

I think I watched that movie. hmmm, going to have to go watch it again! Hahaha, while I'm at it, I'm just going to have a Disney movie Marathon. ;D

 

I'm very excited to see these new fireworks, I never went to the pirate and princess party so this will be brand spankin new for me! Woot woot!

I'm also looking forward to some new drop sequences for Tower of Terror - I love that attraction!!!

Shanan - you mentioned they've already made some changes to Fantasyland... what changes have been made thus far? Is toontown still open?

 

I've never been to the Pirate and Princess party either, so I'm excited to see what these fireworks are all about! More than one person has told me they're better than wishes - which is a pretty dern bold statement to me! I am excite!

They haven't done big changes I don't think, they've just started re-theming some of the buildings that are already there... I think I did read somewhere though that some construction walls have started to pop up by ToonTown. I don't think it's closing any time soon though - they're more just working on stuff behind it I think.

 

They are redoing toon town?! I love that place. Probably going to make it even better.

 

You can just walk through the queue for T.o.T. I do it all the time now, and then take the chicken elevator down. I love the theming too much to miss it!
The fireworks that are coming, the ones from the P&P party, they are FANTASTIC. 360 degrees. I loved them so much. =) WAY better than Wishes.

 

360! That sounds sooo amazing. I am excited to watch them!

 

:S Like I said, I used to work at Soarin. It was really cool for me to share with the Canadians, because I am Canadian, and there were a number of cast members working at Soarin from different countries - Mexico, Brazil, France and Canada were the 4 of us in my training group. And we (Soarin Cast Members) got along great with the Canadians! I can't wait to be back there!
